[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this on sale when our old simple rice cooker stopped working - read reviews and looked for one that would cook rice consistently well, not dry it our while on warm for a while, and last a long time. We were so surprised how much better/fresher thr rice tasted compared to our old cooker! Left the remaining rice on warm for a few hours after dinner and it was still just as good. Can't speak to how long it will last yet, as we only got it this week, but seems really sturdy. Bonus it looks sleek fits in our kitchen drawers nicely, and love the measurements in thd bowl for water! Neat little feature.

My biggest regret is not having done so sooner. It is so easy to use and the rice comes out perfect every time. It’s easy to clean as well. I have managed to convert my wife to the rice cooker, she has always been one to cook her rice in a pot on the stove. The inside of the pot even has levels of how much water you put in depending on how many cups of rice you put in. I love how I can put this on and the rice will stay warm till I am ready to use it. We are not huge rice eaters that eat rice daily, but when we do it is a pleasure to do so.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Step backeards If you have not had a previous generation cooker this will probably be okay. You won’t know any different. But from someone who like the older model this model is lacking in many ways! It has no handle, it has no up and down timer and the entire interface is right angles rather than 45 degrees. It is just bad on many levels. It cooks rice yes! But it is not as good as the old model. I purchased due to the old model having issues with cheap wires to the sensors in the lid. I did not want to open up and repair but after purchasing this I have gone in and repaired the old one this one is just not as good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Rice Cooker I was gifted the SR-DA182WST 10-cup Rice Cooker in exchange for an honest review on Panasonic’s website. This is an awesome rice cooker. I have made Basmati rice, Jasmine rice and brown rice so far and all done to perfection. The rice was fluffy not soggy or stuck together in clumps. My husband was using a multicooker to make fried rice but now he is using this because of the more superior result. Rice doesn't stick to the bowl and operation is smooth and easy. It deserves 5 stars just for the cooking results but I do wish a recipe book was included and that the cooking pot is dishwasher safe but other than that, very happy with my machine and highly recommend it. Thanks Panasonic!

Apparently can be used for things other than rice but I can assure you this one won’t ever do anything other than cook rice. This rice cooker has replaced my previous one. That cooked rice too. Or at least the water inside it did. But only if you switch it on and start the cooking process. Otherwise it’s just cold, wet, uncooked rice grains in a glamorous looking pot. But I must say, this rice cooker looks the business. Go ahead and roll the dice and live life on the edge by purchasing this machine. Don’t bother with the operating instructions if you’re a risk taker like myself. Slap in some rice, water and a pinch of salt and go for gold.

Thanks for your question. While it doesn't have a specific Sticky Rice setting on the user panel, it might still be possible, but would be down to trial and error of settings, and overall recipe. Hope this helps! ^CO
