Although smaller than my original cheaper version, this one cooks perfectly!
I trialled the Brown sugar and cinnamon banana recipe from the app, served with dollop cream! Was a hit with my 17 year old daughter!
The clear window and light are excellent features!
I am going to invest in a bigger version as I have a family of 8, but in the mean time we will be using this daily!

Good things come in small packages
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great air fryer for snacks, small meals and reheating individual serves. For a family of 4 though, we struggled to fit enough in it without impacting the cooking times and quality.
That said, when kids and wife were away, treating myself to a batch of air fried chicken and fries was a simple treat, and the kids got creative one weekend and tried out a viral S'mores recipe they saw on social media. Goopy marshmallow and melted chocolate isn't what I had thought we would use this for!
It does what it does really well. A dream to clean with basket and liner being dishwasher safe and (so far) no mess to clean up inside.
Would definitely recommend this for solo or duo dwellers, people with varying work shifts who don't necessarily cook together, but falls just on the small side for our family.

Time plus Temp does not equal 13 ways!
So far I've only cooked lamb chops and frozen sirloin steak, both on the meat chops preset. Meat was juicy and the steaks were medium rare after 20mins. Cleanup was easy enough, rendered fat can be collected in a bowl and cooled before binning.
The advertising says "13 cooking methods at the touch of a button
Air fry, bake, grill, roast and more ... 13 different ways of cooking at your fingertips including reheating, defrosting and keep warm." - however, there is no definitive list of the 13 ways. There are 8 presets on the machine plus keep warm - so 9 that I can see. If you count bake, grill, roast and defrost you get to 13 BUT what is the difference between any of these and how can you grill rather than bake? Based on the advertising I thought I was getting more value - in reality there are 2 dimensions to this air fryer - time and temp. This is falsely advertised.

Easy Air Frying!!

Great and effective product

Cool fryer
We got this recently and used it only twice. I like the design and particularly impressed with how quiet it is compared our earlier air fryer. However, setting up the temperature and frying time could be much easier. It requires you to press several times. We are still exploring its functionality, but I like it very much so far.

Great little air fryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look of this air fryer. There is no protruding dial or button and the digital display looks so neat and tidy. The capacity is not very big so it would struggle to cook a meal for my family of 4 but the size and look are nice enough for this device to sit permanently on the bench top.
I love how quiet it is compared to other air fryers I’ve had. I have to walk into the kitchen to be sure that the air fryer is on whereas other air fryers can be heard even when I am upstairs and it is impossible to hear the TV when they are in use.
Both the metal plate and cooking chamber are very easy to clean. The no stick coating is very smooth and there is no sharp edges to worry about - this is a huge improvement from the early generation Philips air fryer I had before.
The crumb from the fish cakes I cooked didn’t fly everywhere in the cooking chamber but they were cooked to perfection. Great product and I just love it.

A handy addition to the kitchen!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Airfyer 2000 series 4.2L is an overall excellent convenient, fast, nifty and easy to use and clean addition to the kitchen.
We made some easy Staples- meatballs and roast vegetables, kale chips, chicken wings, and various frozen nibbles and garlic bread and they all turned out excellent with great crisp and crunch with less cooking time than regular oven or toaster oven (which we used prior to this airfryer).
Pros: The function menu is easy to use. Easy to clean. Cooks/heats up/bakes quickly, pretty evenly and gives food a good crispy crunch.
Con: is a bit small - had to do kale chips and chicken wings in a few batches for a small family and had to break a regular garlic bread roll into two parts to fit into the basket.
Overall, highly recommend, especially for a single person use or just for two!However, if you have a bit of extra budget I would probably recommend getting the next size up for a household of 2+.

The Philips compact airfryer is perfect for 1-2 people, with a quiet operation and compact design that's ideal for small spaces. It delivers great results without noise. However, it lacks an automatic turn-off feature, which would add more convenience. Overall, a great choice for small households!

This air fryer is brilliant. Much better than the one I had previously.. love the easy of programming.
It cooks well and although I am a single person the size is fine. When the family com to visit it will cope with larger portions. Cooked a whole chicken with no problem. Best purchase ever
