Too bad, temperature control lets Sunbeam down
We bought this frypan about three months ago on the assumption that it would perform like our Sunbeam electric stainless steel deep cooker which we have enjoyed for 20+ years and still works great. How disappointed we are with this Banquet Frypan. The Diamond Force coating is excellent for non-stick cooking and cleaning but the thermostatic control is horrible for getting even temperature. First things start to cook, then go cold, turn up the temp slightly and then they burn. Eventually you reach max to get the same temp you started with at low. Also, it cooks more over the element than toward the sides.

Not happy
Not all all impressed with this fryapn. The base of mine is no longer flat at all., it has a big dip in the middle. I never fry anything at the hottest temp, so definitely should not be like this!
Everything sticks on really badly over the element.
I've bought cheaper electric frypan the this before, and they were much better.
Really disappointed with this purchase, especially seeing I normally buy cheaper frypans, and they don't warp! This frypan is less then 12 months old.

Buy The Tefal Easy Banquet Instead
This sunbeam frying pan is the worse i've come across, the coat turned black after the first use and has spread further and further as time has gone along, and as other have stated the temperature is terrible your forever having to adjust the temperature because it heats up so fast that everything burns then turns off and takes ages before it comes back on. I gave up eventually and bought the tefal banquet fry pan instead and its night and day, save yourself the trouble, go for the tefal

I love my DiamondForce Banquet Frypan
The Sunbeam DiamondForce Banquet Frypan is the perfect size for cooking for the family or a group of friends. As soon as I turned the frypan on it heated to the required temperature meaning that no time was wasted waiting for it to heat. There is a good variety of temperature settings for different meals. I found that the heat was evenly distributed throughout the pan resulting in the meals being cooked to perfection. The non stick coating means that no oil is needed and that meat is left juicy and tender.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the pan is the ease of cleaning. All I had to do was wipe the pan and it was spotless. There was no need for scrubbing making the cleaning process highly efficient. This frypan is made to make life easier. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a frypan.
