Maybe.... Maybe not
Used this only a few times now but not sure about it yet. For all the settings it has it doesn't come with any instructions other than to tell you how to do white rice. (I've emailed Tefal asking for better instructions and recipes but none received yet) The cooking time for rice is substantially longer than previous rice cooker (allow minimum 30 minutes for a couple of cups of rice - absurb right? The lid doesn't detach so when you lift it the water/steam drips down the back of the lid, over the cooker and onto your bench :( At this point I'd say consider others. Sorry Tefal.

Best Rice Cooker for New and Busy Family
Great product and very easy to use. Best for new and busy family. However, the product needs some stability as it slides on a shiny surface like stone kitchen too, it needs rubber at the bottom to keep it in place while pushing the buttons.

Makes perfect rice!
Makes really good fluffy rice like the Tefal rice cooker we had before (RK703170)
One thing that I miss on my old unit is that it has a timer and delay cook function with a simple led indicator for almost the same price.
Well, anyway, it still is a good rice cooker.

Consider other brands
- doesn't have much grip. Moves around everytime you push a button.
- white rice takes forever to talk. 1 cup = 40minutes. Other products cooks for 15-20minutes.
- water from steam goes everywhere when you open the lid. Could go into heating components.

Game changer
Absolutely love this rice cooker. Cooks our jasmine rice perfectly. 100% better compared to the old traditional rice cooker we have been using. We love the reheat function too! This also looks so nice and sleek in our kitchen counter.

What can I say, it’s Tefal. Easy to use and cooks my rice well. It took a while (a good 2 months) to arrive due to supply and delivery issues but it’s worth the wait.
