Cooks perfect rice! :)
This rice cooker makes a perfect bowl of rice! The rice is fluffy and just the right consistency. I was always wondering how they cook this prefect rice at asian restaurants... and here is the answer - use the right appliance! :) Keep in mind it's not a pressure cooker, so it takes around 40 minutes to cook rice. My previous multi-cooker would cook the same amount of rice in just 6 minutes, but the result was sticky messy porridge. It never came out fluffy regardless of water/grains proportion. So it depends on your preferences - if you don't mind to wait a bit longer for prefect rice than it's the right product for you, but if you want your rice to be cooked in minutes - look at pressure cookers. This Tefal cleans easily, has a pleasant modern appearance if left on a kitchen bench and I love the 'delay' function. I set it up in the evening and have a freshly cooked rice in the morning. Have tried a slow cook for soup and meat - and it was great!

Very happy with this cooker
Wow! This little machine is amazing! Bought it for my dad so he can cook his silverside. It fits 2 kgs of silverside and it turned out amazing. It’s so easy for him to use. Also cooked up some white rice and yes it takes 40 minutes but worth it. You just need to plan the rest of the meal prep around it. So fluffy! I’ve never been able to get rice like this ever! Next will try mango chicken but I don’t think I will have a problem. Highly recommend.

Tefal Rice Cooker
Looks great on the bench, rice comes out nicely and cooks in less than 1 hr with unit automatically changing to keep warm function. Easy to clean and like the utensils provided.
Negative is that no timer displays for how long the rice is taking to cook so hard to work in with meal prep.
Haven’t used for slow cook function or steaming vegetables yet. Have other Tefal brand appliances and always find it to be a reliable brand.
