Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic taste This kettle caused water to taste like what I can only describe as plastic. This taste was present for two months after which I tried to return it. The retailer, HN, refused to give me a refund or provide me with an alternative. The item is is advertised as 'BPA free' but it does have a plastic window for checking the water level inside the chamber. The kettle is heavy, loud, and over boils water for at least a few seconds. I am very surprised by all the good reviews. This is the worst kettle I've used for a long time. I'd recommend getting one that is all glass or steel with no plastic inside the water chamber.

I was sent a bum tracking link and struggled with the Harvey Norman online customer support. Cheers to the crew at the Palmerston North shop who were much more helpful and responsive. I won’t be shopping at Harvey Norman online again, but I’m happy to give my business to local stores.

Reasonably quiet and has a gentle ding when finished boiling. Bit of blue light bling around the on/off button. Soft opening top to refill is a wee bit slow to open, but very minor problem. I hope it is still going in months/years to come.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor support from breville nz - lack of spares Fine until something goes wrong: the glass lid has gone all crazy cracked after a few years of light weight domestic use. While yiu can clearly see the glass is a simple unscrew and replace fix, breville nz dont have pasts apart from the main base. So the jug is a write off. Very poor - hard to recommend.
