Can the water come in contact with anything made of plastic? Whether when filling, heating or pouring out from this kettle?

Great question! All internal components of this kettle that come into contact with water are made from stainless steel, with one exception, the water filter holder, which is made from BPA‑free plastic. During filling and boiling, the water does not come into contact with this plastic part.
