Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great simple kettle I use this kettle to boil water hubby's and my cup of tea twice a day and occasionally to top up cooking water. I've had it a few months now and I love it. The lid has a small lip for easy manual lifting (no buttons that fail) and the gap easily fits under my tap for filling. Seems pretty quiet and I have not noticed an increase in noise. The jug sits on its base firmly, the cord is a decent length, and it was a great price! Oh, and it boils water fast ... all I want at 6am!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Montana Kettle works fine. But is not a quiet boiler as advertised. Excuses from.the manufacturer will be. Its the type of water used. Water is water for the end user regardless whether they have softvor hard water available. If hard water does not allow the kettle to boil quietly. Then it needs to be advertised that way.

It’s quieter than our last one - I don’t have to turn to telly up anymore when wanting to make a cuppa. Bonus points for that! Heats up nicely and it’s easy to clean…. Ticks all the boxes. Hi there. Thanks for your question, yes this is brushed stainless steel. The water boils from the base of the kettle. Hope this helps

Hi! do you know if the kettle gets hot (to touch) while boiling?
