Leaks
I bought this about 16 months ago and it now leaks from the bottom. It began just afeet the 12 months mark and has been steadily increasing. Around the clear fill gauge panel also leaks and results in a calcium build up. The photo is the amount of leaking after a 2 cup boil.

Very satisfying
Smeg's green kettle is a vibrant addition to any kitchen. Beyond its eye-catching color, it boils water swiftly, and the ergonomic design adds charm. The retro aesthetic blends nostalgia with modern functionality, making it both a functional appliance and a stylish accent. The build quality ensures durability, while the intuitive controls enhance user experience. While it may be a bit pricier, the aesthetic appeal and performance make it a worthwhile investment for those seeking a delightful balance between form and function in their kitchen essentials.

These kettles leak and are well known for it!
I bought this in blue 2 years ago and it’s now leaking from the bottom. At this price point it should be lasting longer than 2 years. I also bought the matching toaster and it’s still working. Regretful buy as I’ve since found out leaking issues are common as well as bubbling paint.

Bubble in paint enamel
This kettle has lasted 3 years. Now it has a little bubble in the enamel near the lid. It keeps getting bigger and I guess with eventually flake off.

Looks great but!
We bought this kettle with the matching toaster thinking they were the perfect match to our Falcon stove.
The kettle developed a bubble in the paint which was replaced with ease. We now have a second kettle that started being difficult to open to fill now the lid has snapped at the plastic catch.
It’s a shame because we love the look of it and they work well but we won’t be buying this kettle again.

Lid Broken
Bought this model over 2 years ago. The lid started getting stuck , not able to open lid up for refill water. Then now it’s completely broken can’t close properly anymore and doesn’t turn off when boiled. I checked the receipt for warranty but just passed the warranty period for 2 months. Bad luck!
