The temperature setting option is the best invention as I drink a lot of black coffee or herbal tea, I don’t have to wait for it to cook down. You can see what temp the water is at as it boils because it lights up as it goes, you know how far off it is to finishing. Then you can keep it at temp for 20 mins, this is handy when you are cooking or baking and need hot water multiple times - no need to re boil!! Great kettle & looks super attractive on the bench

Really happy with the Smeg Kettle. Boils fast, looks great, has the adjustable temp. I like the spring open lid. I ordered the white. It was expensive, but it was the right choice. Note it is heavy when filled with water so use two hands to carry back to base.
