Dont go the way of Flatbed
Bought this Flatbed as a tryout really, unfortunately was a disappointment from start. This unit is a 1000w that performs like a 800w turntable. All microwaves used to be flatbed in the beginning, just used to have to turn what you were cooking three times. these units distribute the microwaves evenly and so no turning necessary. HOWEVER whatever they do to distribute the power also lowers it... our last microwave was same power and cooked at least 1/3... 33% faster, but it was a turntable. Only up for this unit is, it is easy to clean, everything else is a downer. Cheap to buy but it will cost you in the end from the extra electricity you burn because of the longer cooking times.

The unit I bought was broken when i took it out of the box. Obviously there is no such thing as quality control as even a monkey would have noticed the defect. Door wouldn't stay closed. Googling revealed the door catch is an endemic problem which Panasonic refuses to acknowledge. The surest way to get my blood boiling is to claim 'we've never encountered that problem before' when the review sites contain hundreds of identical complaints. What passes for Panasonic 'customer service' appears to be in Manila, staff are unintelligible, unhelpful and arrogant.Two can play that game, lets see how much business I can cost Panasonic by letting prospective customers know to avoid this shonky manufacturer. Once upon a time, the company made decent products, but quite obviously those days are long gone.

Really user friendly and convenient but lacks powe
I'm used to having a powerful microwave and this just doesn't meet the standard. It took me way to long to heat things and the cool down function was a constant. Thankfully the sales assistant let me return it and I bought the LG smart inverter 32L and it's amazing. Great sounds, just as easy to use and good power that matches my old one. The turn table is also thinner and sits lower than previous microwaves so I really like how it sits. If you're after a microwave with grunt, don't get this one.

failed straight of box
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Makes a huge unnerving noise and smeels like burning electrical doesnt heat whats inside and stops before the timer finishes. This is a major failiure if a bramd new item i just bought this yesterday the 1st time ived used it and its a major lemon. I'm really upset about this. We lost our existing microwave in the storms last week. Ive been waiting for this unit to arrive to our local store, too delayed so i drove to newcastle to pick this one up and its a pile of rubbish. Now ive got to waste a trip back to get this replaced. Not happy at all.

Panasonic All The Way
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had Panasonic M/Waves not long after they first came on the market many years ago.
Have been happy with all 3, the 3rd I purchased 2 days ago. The old one was
still working well but just got a new kitchen and wanted a new appliance to go with it.
The old one has been passed on to the
caravan.
I find the function panel is simple and easy
to use and understand. The capacity of the
flat bed is awesome and so much more
practical than the rotating models.
All in all I am extremely pleased with this model, price wise, design and functionality I s perfect for me and my family.

New features and we're very happy with our choice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently our trusty Panasonic Microwave, after a long life, died very suddenly and as we use it every day we needed to find a replacement asap. We were shown the options available now and found that they have changed quite a bit. We decided to stay with Panasonic after being so happy with our previous Microwave and purchased the Inverter Flat & Wide. The salesman explained how this one cooks food without having a turntable in comparison to those that do, and so we thought we would give it a try. Both my husband and myself have been very happy with this model and actually prefer having no turntable!
