Awesome device!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been sheet cutting all sorts of items. Yams, parsnips, rutabagas, pretty much anything I can find in my produce department that looks like it might slice well. I am experimenting with mixtures and have to say everything I’ve tried has come out well. A single potato can create a yard-long slice or more!! My only gripe (and the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars) is that the vegetable holder could be more sturdy. A couple of the prongs snapped off doing the rutabaga, and so far I have not heard back from Kitchen -Aid about a replacement part. I can still do most items,

Sweet sheet cutter
Received this a couple weeks ago
Got all kinds of veggies and fruits. It sheets zucchini, apples, squashes, cucumbers with perfection. I wish it would do radishes. I imagine if I get the thicker longer ones it might work. I was happy the way it DID NOT sheet into the seeded part. I really want to try it on harder fruits like plums, nectarines and even peaches and when I do Ill be sure to write again. Oh can you imagine the yummy desserts you could make if it works out.
I had fun with this. It is a wonderful way of making elegant and just good, fun things to eat. The blades... the thin is thin and the thick is thick. So EASY to clean. EASY to use! Love this sheet cutter

Good idea, but misses the mark
No longer than 5 inch veggies fit on sheeter, must be straight veggies and they should be very fat for any kind of a nice sheet. The core that is left after the sheet is cut is approximately 1.25 inches in diameter and 5 inches in length - a big chunk of waste (maybe use in salad or stir fry). If your veggie isn’t very straight when you bought it then you won’t get long, nicely formed sheets. They’ll come out in pieces or with gaps or cutouts in them. My best results came with a cucumber, but still too much waste for my liking. All in all, good idea, lack luster results.

So Disappointed
I have loved every KitchenAid product I have ever purchased - and I have several, but the vegetable sheet cutter was a huge disappointment. The food has to be nearly perfect in quality to get a consistent "sheet." Cutting off the ends wastes food. I tried potatoes with the thin blade and zucchini with the thicker blade. I had luck with one potato out of 6 producing a "sheet." There was, of course, an inner core of waste. Was not able to get a sheet of zucchini as the blade did not seem sharp enough. Just mushed up my vegetable. So surprised as this is not a typical KitchenAid product. Bummer.

Don't do it
I got this for my wife a couple of years ago and it has done nothing but cause misery in our house. She could never get it to work (anchors just core out the vegetables). Six months ago I pulled it out of the closet and success! Not sure why but for some reason we got the results you see in the videos. Now...I pulled it out this weekend and have chewed up two butternut squashes to no avail. KitchenAid? There has to be a fix toake this reliable. I really want this to work. Please have your engineers get into it. I'd even be willing to buy a "fix kit" if they can engineer something that would work.

Great Idea, Poor Materials
We were very excited to use this attachment and have been very satisfied with several of the other attachments we use, some quite frequently in a professional capacity. Unfortunately this one didn't make past its debut in the kitchen. One of the teeth broke shortly in to its duties, and another after giving it a second chance with fingers crossed. I'm a chef, not an engineer, but I probably should've seen it coming upon unpacking. While this was a very thoughtful gift for home use having me draw up cool applications in my head, I am left disappointed yet hopeful that there will be an affordable (and dependable) vegetable sheeter in the future,

Change in anchor design would be game-changer
I just received this as a Christmas gift; have been excited to try it. Although I’d heard that butternut squash was probably not going to work, I wanted to try and find out why. The plastic anchor that is closest to the machine (not the skewer end) simply carves out a circular chunk from the squash so it can’t rotate. If this piece were more robust — perhaps made of metal or at least comprised of sharp spiky teeth that were a bit longer — it could easily work with harder fruits and vegetables. Seems like an expensive attachment for such a limited list of produce.

My new "go to" attachment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been eating many more veggies since I bought the Kitchen Aid Vegetable Sheet Cutter.This sheet cutter is built sturdy and durable allowing a lot of versatility that will deliver great results for a long period of time. This is totally easy to connect to your kitchen aid , just unscrew the bolt and plate on the front and it pops right in. This cutter comes with two blades, one for a thicker cut and one for a thinner cut. The slicer works effortlessly and the speed of cutting was amazingly fast. It helps in my attempts to limit pasta and such foods in general.
