Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks great but terrible at toasting … I was really happy to purchase this toaster it looks great on my bench - it has wide slots so can take 2 slices or a large piece of sour dough BUT … it doesn’t not toast well at all …even on 5 you have to re toast … then it comes out so uneven - over brown in parts undercooked on the other side. I am so disappointed.

A lot bigger and less cooking time as it fits up to 6 slices of bread. Toasts them all evenly. Crumbs can be cleaned with the undertray. Controls are easily used. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A luxurious and versatile toaster [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was gifted the DeLonghi Diadema toaster in exchange for my honest review. I was excited to try it because unlike toasters I’ve owned in the past, it features two slots that are both long and wide. The toaster comes in an attractive stainless steel finish. There are 5 heat settings to cater for every taste. There are also buttons for frozen bread and reheating. I found that I didn’t need to use these buttons much. I put a frozen slice of bread on heat setting number 3, and it turned out crisp and perfectly golden. If you have a large family that all want toast, the Diadema would be great, as it can do four slices at a time. However, the best thing is the ability to toast large, oddly shaped artisan slices of bread without it being stuck or half frozen. I noticed that the manual showed croissants being toasted, and I am happy to report that it is possible with this toaster. Wonderful if you don’t want to mess around with a grill or sandwich press in the morning. It also worked well for Turkish bread and bagels, and I am keen to try it with pita bread. While the Diadema is more expensive than many other toasters on the market, I feel it is good value due to its versatility. It looks very luxurious and would make a nice gift with the matching kettle.
