Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unfortunately disappointing Purchased a Dyson following a number of disappointing vacuums from other companies, unfortunately I expected to come back to the same power and quality but I’m just not satisfied. The suction is good when it wants to be but the attachment head is constantly stating it is blocked even when it isn’t which is extremely frustrating, we are constantly taking it apart to check and find nothing there. The eco settings useless and sucks up very little, we find that we are generally using the boost function 99% of the time causing the battery to drain so much more quicker. I wish I had gone for a model a few years older which would probably be better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All round excellence.. Admittedly we are Dyson fans but this new vacuum is far and away the BEST EVER. Our old one has had a lot of use and it replaced an even earlier Dyson vacuum.. all have been good but this is in a league of it's own. The things we like: rechargeable, no cable, compactor is good, weight is good, manoeuvrability is excellent. The things we love: a full charge lasts for the whole house, the light on the front is an incredible step forward in vacuum innovation, the suction never dies off, the automatic setting really is automatic.. we could go on but suffice to say - no downsides, love it. Well done Dyson, you really have moved the dial this time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from More frustration than cleaning I don’t know if we’ve just got a dud but 3 weeks in and this has proven to be a terrible purchase. Regularly claims it’s blocked when it isn’t (which renders it unusable until fixed). This happens 2-3 times a week. It has required 3 filter cleans in 3 weeks and the auto floor detection continually swaps between hard floor and carpet when the floor hasn’t changed. Certainly the one we have isn’t fit for purpose

It is very heavy on the arm with all the weight at the top of the machine and you are supporting all that weight. It doesn't take long before your arm starts to ache. Returned

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another good product from Dyson [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum looks good, lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Gives you different settings depending on power, love the screen that tells you how much time you have left until you need to recharge. If you use 'auto' the suction alters depending on the floor type which is clever. Tools are good for sofas and stairs etc. There is a light on the front which is a little bright, but shows where you need to clean. Only had this product for a couple of days, but if it lasts for a long time then it would be worth the larger price tag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the Dyson product that we've grown to love! I bought this as a Christmas present. The performance has been very, very disappointing. We have a V6 and one later hand held Dyson which both function better. To pick up dog hair, the vacuum needs to pass over four or five times as compared to once with the earlier model. The head does no tangle the dog hair, but struggles to function as advertised. I would like to return this product because, in our case, doesn't function as expected.

This vacuum has powerful suction that picks up every speck of dust, crumbs and pet hair! It has lots of functions that I really like, like the submarine function using water to clean hardwood floors (saves bringing the mop out). Lights that illuminate areas hiding that extra dust and pet hair. The extra attachments allow specific areas to be throughly cleaned like skirting boards and tight corners. The only thing we didn’t like is it is quite a noisy vacuum. But over a great vacuum to have around especially when pets are molting like crazy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great vacuum cleaner especially if you have pets. I brought this vacuum to replace my V11 that was being to fail after many years of service. The new V16 is a great replacement. Powerful and has a larger pipe and attachments. It works very well on automatic Mode moving from hard floor in the kitchen to carpet in the living room. The dust collector is smaller than the V11 but has a nice little feature that allows you to compress the dust allowing you to continue vacuuming without stopping to empty the container. The green light at the front of the rollers is a fantastic feature as it highlights all the dust and hairs from the dog! The battery life is enough to vacuum all of my house including Kitchen hall living room dining room 4 bedrooms bathroom etc.
