I miss the old vacuum heads
I bought this vacuum because we have a dog that looses a lot of hair and since this vacuum is made for animal hair it was no brainer. I got to say that I am a little disappointed with the new vacuum head. I feel like it does not get all the hair from the floor and is so bulky and heavy. I really miss using the fluffy optic brush from the older type and i wish i could use it with this vacuum. Please give us an adapter or make it available for this type.

Don’t waste your money - use older Dyson vacuums
My v15 was far better. The suction isn’t as good on BBC the v16 animal and the submarine attachment is terrible. No matter how small a space you use it on and then wash the attachment before using it on additional flooring, it leaves dirty water streaks.
Please don’t waste your money.
I will be returning mine. Very disappointed.

Don’t waste your money
I’m extremely disappointed with this product. It feels poorly designed and not properly tested in real-world conditions. The vacuum tends to flick debris around rather than picking it up efficiently, meaning I have to go over the same area multiple times just to get a decent result.
The main cleaner head is also surprisingly noisy, and the automatic switching between carpet and hard floor modes is unreliable. It’s often slow to respond, and at times it switches into carpet mode even when I’m using it on wooden flooring, which makes no sense and affects performance.
The optional Submarine head is equally underwhelming. Instead of cleaning properly, it tends to spread dirty water across the floor, leaving visible streaks. It’s also frustrating to clean after use, and the base scratches very easily as it drags along the floor.
Overall, this feels like a substandard product that doesn’t live up to expectations, especially from a brand like Dyson.

All round awesomeness!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my new V16 'Submarine' 2 weeks ago and have quickly come to appreciate the UPGRADE that this machine is. It performed brilliantly on my carpets and hard flooring. The battery is certainly longer lasting (over an hour). The attachments, whilst similar to my previous machine, work exceedingly well which I put down to the extra suction of the V16.The new wet/mop function worked well although found it a little difficult to manoeuvre. One big surprise was how much quieter hoovering has become! Overall I am very pleased with all the aspects of this 'awesome' machine and would highly recommend it.

Amazing next step in cleaning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A household of 3 we found the vacuum excellent at picking up dirt and hair. As my partner has long hair she has found it really good to vacuum it all up, as our other dyson struggled with that.
I loved the lightness and the ease of flow on the ground.
The compacting slider is awesome, works great with the LCD screen telling me when to compact it.
The submarine head hard floor cleaner worked really well. The water was very dirty. It was effortless as it has a self propelling head, so it pulls it along for you .I love using this this new product.

I don’t think the newer Dyson works as well as the older models. My daughter has long hair and we have carpet at home. When I vacuum, the hair gets tangled and rolled into clumps on the carpet instead of being picked up. I end up having to pick it up by hand and throw it in the bin.
Also, the dustbin capacity is smaller than before. Our house is around 300 m². With my previous Dyson, I only needed to empty the bin once after vacuuming downstairs before moving upstairs. Now I have to empty it at least two times just to finish upstairs, which is quite inconvenient.

The floor cleaner attachment does not work. Called up within 30 days of receiving and was offered to wait until the attachment next restocks, no email of restock and still can't fully use the item 2 months later.
I had high expectations following my previous Dyson but I'm more than disappointed with this purchase and service.

I bought this vacuum two weeks ago as I have two fox terriers and their hair is very hard to vacuum up. It is not the best at picking up the hair from my vinyl planking floor maybe because of the type of brush on this product. I am thinking it is causing static?I have to go over the same area at least three times to suck the hair up.
It does seem to be good on my wool loop carpet from what I can see. I find the wet vacuum and brush very good and can see that it is cleaning the floor. It is quicker and more convenient than using a mop.
When I use the ECO setting there is a high pitch noise which I will contact DYSON about.
