BEST PURCHASE!! 10/10
I would highly recommend this vacuum. I was initially a little deterred from buying this model and told in-store that it was entry level and not as good as the more premium ones. However, I’ve been genuinely blown away by how powerful the suction is while still being so quiet at the same time. The vacuum feels incredibly premium and well made, yet it’s still so affordable for the quality you get.
The extra attachments are also fantastic for getting into all those hard to reach little spots. Overall, this is the best vacuum I’ve ever purchased, especially for the price. I’m extremely impressed and would absolutely recommend this product!

A Pleasure to Use
After trying a friend’s Miele C3 I decided to buy my own. But I didn’t need the larger version so opted for this one and it doesn’t disappoint. It is easy to use, has great suction, the same varying suction strengths, is compact and has the necessary tools for all applications (window grooves, couch etc). Obviously well made, not clunky.

Very good vacuum, light weight, easily move around, quiet, bagged so no need to clean the vacuum regularly, it does really well for my curtain cleaning, and you don't feel the heat from the motor after 30mins running

Very reliable and long lasting vacuum cleaner
We used an older model (classic C1) for almost 10 years. Funnily enough, it was still functional and working alright. But, some of the accessories were old and rusty and the cable auto roller stopped working. Hence, we decided to get this newer model which is quieter and has a longer cord. We're very happy with it.

Vacuums OK - but no means to store tools within the body of the cleaner
It's a good vacuum cleaner built to normal Miele quality - BUT I had not appreciated from the online info that is does NOT allow the tools to be stored inside the cleaner! There is a stupid clip that can be placed on top of the vaccum cleaner to hold them, but it looks absurd and gets in the way when you want to put it away. I bought this to replace a Miele Complete C3 which no longer seems to be available - but it has onboard tools and was much more convenient. I would not buy another Guard S1.
