Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Pleasure to Use After trying a friend’s Miele C3 I decided to buy my own. But I didn’t need the larger version so opted for this one and it doesn’t disappoint. It is easy to use, has great suction, the same varying suction strengths, is compact and has the necessary tools for all applications (window grooves, couch etc). Obviously well made, not clunky.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Vacuums OK - but no means to store tools within the body of the cleaner It's a good vacuum cleaner built to normal Miele quality - BUT I had not appreciated from the online info that is does NOT allow the tools to be stored inside the cleaner! There is a stupid clip that can be placed on top of the vaccum cleaner to hold them, but it looks absurd and gets in the way when you want to put it away. I bought this to replace a Miele Complete C3 which no longer seems to be available - but it has onboard tools and was much more convenient. I would not buy another Guard S1.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generally good apart from chord issue. Really love how light and easy to manoeuvre this vacuum is. The only criticism I would have is that the chord does not come out easily so sometimes it pulls the plug out of the wall which is a bit frustrating. I get round this by pulling the whole chord out before I start but this is not ideal. There than this a great wee machine.
