Like it. Light weight.
It's light weight, cord is more than long enough although should have a retractable cord. Does topple over when using hose and attachment. Don't think photo of cleaning stairs is true due to hose shortness and would topple over. No place for all attachments as one brush doesn't fit to store away. Getting used to navigation of head will take time getting use to. Big canister is great.

I’m SOLD!!
I got this vacuum as a Christmas gift this year. It was very easy to put together and the instructions were great.
There is, as I saw a few other people say in their reviews, there are only TWO docking mounts for the extra attachments and it comes with THREE. Easy fix. I used Velcro and it works PERFECT for keeping it attached to the vacuum without losing it!!
I cleaned the beejesus out of my apt and I just can’t say enough good things about it. I have one large dog and the pet hair is no joke around here!! But no more!! I can waller and roll on the carpet with the dog and still come up clean!!
It’s easy to carry without being too heavy and since the cord is still new and needs some mild stretching due to use, it still works when it falls over.
Very easy cleaning of the parts and pieces.
Can y’all tell how much I like this vacuum??
I would definitely recommend it!! I’m so happy with my Shark!!

Miss my bristles
This vacuum cleaner doesn’t have bristles, there like plastic I guess to prevent hair from getting tangled but it most definitely does not clean the carpets like the bristles do.

Terrible Design
I have had the Navigator vacuum for years and recently had to buy a new one because my old one finally broke. This Vacuum has the WORST design for the cup as the dog hair gets stuck up in the top. It doesn't vacuum half as good as the old one and the self cleaning head skips all over the place on the carpet. I am very frustrated and wish I could return this item!

DON'T BUY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO FIGHT W/ YOUR VACUUM
The only good thing about this product is the 12 foot hose. I purchased this product due to the name Shark, thinking I would get a better vacuum than a Hoover or Dirt Devil. We have a commercial grade area rug in our office on top hard wood. The rug is black and you would be amazed the amount of debris which it left behind. We even switched the setting from carpet to hard surface due to the low pile. No change. This is also a top heavy vacuum and will fall over time after time while using the attachment features. Was honestly shocked by the construction of the switch to change the floor settings. Not happy with my purchase and would return it if I could. Also, what is up with have more attachments than areas to place the attachments on the vacuum?

stopped working motor blew
only a year old the motor blew called its under warrante but have to pay for shipping . i would like it better if the head had the fins not brushes i seriously am thinking about never buying a shark and i have alot of sharks but this one has soured me some what . do you make the no bursh head for this model and i am sure if you do its an arm and a leg to buy

Hose is broken within a year
I loved this vacuum when I first bought it. I would have definitely given it a 5 star rating. It cleaned so well but just recently the hose is cracking and has almost broken right in half. I have been duct taping it together but the suction is definitely not the same. NOT at all impressed with this product anymore. I think I will be switching to a Dyson.

Very handy vacumn, easy to use, suction is 4/5 way better than my past cordless vacumns. Vacumns up the bigger bits like popcorn 👌🏻. Small negatives, tips over unless your holding it when using the extension handle, cord could be longer, and can’t store all of the attachments on the actual vacumn (only 2/3 fit) but otherwise very happy

Crap vaccum
The old red & white model was amazing, since upgrading to the shark navigator pet vaccume I'm disappointed in performance. I feel it somewhat pushes the dirt forward on vinyl flooring as opposed to vaccuming it, it does 70% of the job on carpet but leaves alot to be desired. I find it leaves behind dust & cat fur. I ran over the carpet with a ryobi cordless vaccume & it picked up everything 😳, I found the vinyl floor felt so clean after using it there aswell in comparison to the shark vaccume however it isn't a practical alternative to a regular vaccum. I have previously taken my shark vaccume back to the shop & they were unable to find a problem thus I would assume my issues with the vaccum come down to design flaws, I don't feel the product is worth the money.

I LOVE this vacuum
I bought this vacuum a few weeks ago and use it every day. I have pets and a 6 year old in my household. Need I say more. This vacuum is the best I’ve ever been owned. It does everything I need and is so very easy to use. The flick of a wrist turns the power head 90 degrees and saves my back so much. Going from carpet to bare floor is a breeze with the flip of a switch and the brush roller turns slowly to pick up everything. Plus it cleans itself. What more could you ask for? Bravo Shark. You have an affordable winner!!

Game changer - really does what the features say.
Brought this a week ago and wow, what a difference. Thought my other vacuum cleaner was working. It sucked and not in a good way. The shark is a game changer. My house is clean, actually looks and smells clean. No dog hair or human hair taking over my house. It’s easy to use and not too noisy. Highly recommend

Shark Navigator not as good as Shark Rotator
I thought I was buying a vacuum that was comparable to the Shark Rotator, but the Navigator is not as good for 2 reasons: 1) it has no headlight to show me where the dust is; and 2) when the roller rolls for the carpet setting it does not provide forward pull, thereby making it relatively easy to vacuum rugs.

Exactly what I was looking for
It was exactly what I was looking for. After constant use it still surprises me how much dirt it’s pulling from my carpet. It’s easy to manoeuvre and quiet a simple design. The only thing I dislike is it is a little on the heavy side but I think that’s just from using stick vacuums and pull behind vacuums.

We had to replace our old Shark because the part was too costly to repair it. We purchased this one but we will not purchase another one. It is hard to push, it doesn't pick up well. It feels like a cheap appliance. We were very pleased with our old model , but this new model will be a one and done for us

Love it!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have four dogs and four cats so we have a lot of pet hair in our carpets. The day we got this vacuum I first used our old vacuum and then this one to see if the old vacuum left anything behind and omg it did! I love how this vacuum swivels so easily and the extra large capacity it has. It has a separate setting for carpet and hard floor surfaces, it also has a long enough hose to reach the ceiling to get those cob webs. Excellent vacuum and very easy to use!

Wonderful for pet hair!
I LOVE this vacuum. I have four dogs and two cats, so dealing with pet hair is a real issue. This vacuum tackles pet hair beautifully. It works equally well on my carpets and bare floors. And, the larger canister means I don't have to empty it as often. I like the improved maneuverability, too.

Disappointed in what I expected to be a better pro
I have been using this vacuum for a while. Using it on floors it’s fine. When I use the wand it tips over constantly. It has fallen on my foot several times. I have to hold it up to use the wand. I went back to using my Dyson. The wheels are too close together in the back and makes it very unstable.

Powerful!
Love the power of the hoover, has made such a difference to my carpets. I have a retriever and this gets up all of her hair. Wish the cord was retractable but it’s not a huge issue. Very easy to use too, I like not having to pull the hoover along behind me. Great price for such a powerful hoover.

Way too heavy for me.
Just to hard to use. I'm a disabled veteran my right arm doesn't work properly having a really hard time trying to use my left arm. This vacuum is to hard to move wheels don't roll well. And vacuum its self is TOO.heavy for me. Wish I would have kept the one I had before.
Not worth the bother.

Works, but LOUD
Have had it for several months now. Two cats that are always shedding and it picks up everything. Much better than my old Dyson. The only problem is that the motor is getting loud. It's starting to get a really high pitched noise that makes my ears hurt. Other than that, pretty solid.

Do not buy
Clogs easily. Overheats. Shrieking shrill sound. Smells of burnt rubber. Shuts off mid cleaning. Customer service sent us 2 replacements. Unfortunately for the wrong vaccum each time. Yes, you read that right. Cheaply made. Buy a Bissell. Works way better. No longer a shark fan.

Amazing suction
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! I got this vacuum and couldn't be happier with it. Usually when I used to vacuum I'd still have pet hair on my carpet after I vacuumed. I put this vacuum together easily. I turned it on and before I even started, it pulled up alot of pet hair. The additional attachments are awesome. I don't need to get a ladder to reach the corners of my ceiling. The collector for the hair holds alot. I don't have to empty it over and over. I just love this vacuum.

Not very durable
Overall it worked well but the tubing broke and it's barely a year old. Replacing it cost almost as much as replacing it. I've been using shark for years but they seem to have less lasting power. If the next one break down this quick I'll have to find other options

I bought this a couple months ago because of the self cleaning roller. It works great, we have two cats and I no longer have to pull the hair off the roller. Also great suction, it picks up a lot more deep down dirt. The long hose makes accessory work a lot easier.

Impressed! A few cons
I wasn't looking to replace my ~15 year-old Dyson, but after I got one of Shark's cordless vacuums with PowerFins that didn't tangle my medium-length hair and beautifully lifted up the carpet fibers, I decided that I needed to retire my Dyson. I have 3 cats, one with super fine medium to long fur that gets tangled in rollers. I also needed a closed HEPA system due to allergies and asthma. I did a lot of research and decided on the Navigator Pet Pro.
I did a quick 30-second pass in the living room where the cats like to hang out, where I can visibily see a haze of fine cat fur. I was shocked to see the canister full of fur in that short amount of time!! I wound up emptying the canister 3 times vacuuming the living room and an area rug. I spent the next few days thoroughly vacuuming everything else. And the best part is, no tangled hair or fur! Initially, there was a small tuft of fur stuck on the roller, but it eventually disappeared.
Pros:
- Gets the finest of cat hair and coarse human hair
- Lifts up carpet fibers like new
- No hair tangle
- Feels light weight
- The unit can go almost horizontal allowing you to vacuum underneath beds, etc.
- Has adjustable air flow
- Canister easy to empty
- Brush attachment great at removing packed fur from upholstery
- Not as loud as my Dyson, and one of the cats actually stayed nearby to inspect it while running
Annoyances:
- Cord could be longer
- The vacuum tips over easily when using the attachment
- The attachment hose could be a little longer
- The exhaust hits directly in my face if I have to bend over to move items out of the way, but it didn't aggrevate my allergies or asthma (maybe a little but not enough to notice that much)
- Place to hold only 2 attachments instead of 3 that it comes with (but I've really only used 2 so not a big deal)
So far, I am very impressed with this vacuum. I don't think any of the annoyances are enough to replace it before it dies. I think a perfect vacuum would be marrying Dyson's design with Shark's motor and brushroll technology!

The Shark Navigator - good value for money
Great vacuum for a modest price. Excellent suction. Easy to move around. Large dust canister which is easy to remove and empty.
My only complaints would be that it is very noisy on the carpet setting, and there is no place to carry the third attachment

Great suction vacuum. Does look a bit clunky and doesn’t get under the couch as much as a normal head vacuum. But I really do like this one, glides over floorboards and extra feature for carpet. Big bagless cylinder, easy to empty. Its a great vacuum.

It is an upright vacuum .It has a self cleaning brush roll that continuously picks up hair and keeps it from getting trapped.It has 12 feet of reach with an extendable hose. It is very good for deep cleaning and can easily help with cleaning from floor to ceiling. The vacuum has anti allergen complete seal technology and a hepa filter that helps to trap dust and allergens inside the vacuum cleaner. It’s has 3XL times the dust cup to allow more and longer cleaning and less trips emptying it out.The suction is very good as it helps to get very stubborn debris and hard to pick up pet hair. It is light in weight so it’s very easy to maneuver around from task to task. Overall this is a very nice vacuum to have!!!

why would i want to buy the lift away over the navigator
