Not very durable
Overall it worked well but the tubing broke and it's barely a year old. Replacing it cost almost as much as replacing it. I've been using shark for years but they seem to have less lasting power. If the next one break down this quick I'll have to find other options

great machine
I bought this a couple months ago because of the self cleaning roller. It works great, we have two cats and I no longer have to pull the hair off the roller. Also great suction, it picks up a lot more deep down dirt. The long hose makes accessory work a lot easier.

This thing sucks
Favorite dad joke. Also: what’s the difference between a Harley Davidson and a vacuum? The location of the dirtbag.
I like how I don’t have to cut hair off the rollers. It’s a little hard to push but I tell myself it is because of the intense suction.

Impressed! A few cons
I wasn't looking to replace my ~15 year-old Dyson, but after I got one of Shark's cordless vacuums with PowerFins that didn't tangle my medium-length hair and beautifully lifted up the carpet fibers, I decided that I needed to retire my Dyson. I have 3 cats, one with super fine medium to long fur that gets tangled in rollers. I also needed a closed HEPA system due to allergies and asthma. I did a lot of research and decided on the Navigator Pet Pro.
I did a quick 30-second pass in the living room where the cats like to hang out, where I can visibily see a haze of fine cat fur. I was shocked to see the canister full of fur in that short amount of time!! I wound up emptying the canister 3 times vacuuming the living room and an area rug. I spent the next few days thoroughly vacuuming everything else. And the best part is, no tangled hair or fur! Initially, there was a small tuft of fur stuck on the roller, but it eventually disappeared.
Pros:
- Gets the finest of cat hair and coarse human hair
- Lifts up carpet fibers like new
- No hair tangle
- Feels light weight
- The unit can go almost horizontal allowing you to vacuum underneath beds, etc.
- Has adjustable air flow
- Canister easy to empty
- Brush attachment great at removing packed fur from upholstery
- Not as loud as my Dyson, and one of the cats actually stayed nearby to inspect it while running
Annoyances:
- Cord could be longer
- The vacuum tips over easily when using the attachment
- The attachment hose could be a little longer
- The exhaust hits directly in my face if I have to bend over to move items out of the way, but it didn't aggrevate my allergies or asthma (maybe a little but not enough to notice that much)
- Place to hold only 2 attachments instead of 3 that it comes with (but I've really only used 2 so not a big deal)
So far, I am very impressed with this vacuum. I don't think any of the annoyances are enough to replace it before it dies. I think a perfect vacuum would be marrying Dyson's design with Shark's motor and brushroll technology!

The Shark Navigator - good value for money
Great vacuum for a modest price. Excellent suction. Easy to move around. Large dust canister which is easy to remove and empty.
My only complaints would be that it is very noisy on the carpet setting, and there is no place to carry the third attachment

Shark Navigator Pet Vacuum
Great suction vacuum. Does look a bit clunky and doesn’t get under the couch as much as a normal head vacuum. But I really do like this one, glides over floorboards and extra feature for carpet. Big bagless cylinder, easy to empty. Its a great vacuum.

Great vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is very nice. It is an upright vacuum .It has a self cleaning brush roll that continuously picks up hair and keeps it from getting trapped. It has 12 feet of reach with an extendable hose. It is very good for deep cleaning and can easily help with cleaning from floor to ceiling. The vacuum has anti allergen complete seal technology and a hepa filter that helps to trap dust and allergens inside the vacuum cleaner. It’s has 3XL times the dust cup to allow more and longer cleaning and less trips emptying it out.The suction is very good as it helps to get very stubborn debris and hard to pick up pet hair. It is light in weight so it’s very easy to maneuver around from task to task. Overall this is a very nice vacuum to have!!!

Great for Wooly Husky hair!
I bought my Navigator after combing the internet for reviews and videos of a vacuum that can handle my long hair Husky. The Navigator was mentioned as number 1 over and over. I am so pleased. After the first time I vacuumed with it it I couldn’t believe how much it pulled up. Also, the self cleaning brush is amazing as I have long hair and have always had to cut hair out of vacuum brushes. I’m so glad I chose the Shark Navigator over the ridiculously expensive vacuums that don’t even really compare.

Terrible battery life
Battery is complete rubbish. On full power you.might last 10-15 minutes tops. Can't vacuum the whole house at once. Takes ages to recharge. Tried cleaning my car seats on 40 percent battery and lasted 2 minutes. A complete overpriced waste of time

Vacuum - 5 stars, accessories - 2 stars
I bought this vacuum 10 days ago. I had vacuumed with my other vacuum 4 days before and got up a load of dog hair and thread. I put this vacuum together and tried it out. It got dog hair but also got a lot of embedded dirt. I was totally amazed. I am seeing colors in the carpet that I haven't seen in years. We have red dirt that sticks and makes everything terra cotta colored. Add thread and white dog hair from 3 double coated dogs . . . I vacuum several times a week. I love the vacuum but I'd wish it had come with the combo crevice tool/brush since I usually do a lot of dusting while I vacuum, plus use the crevice tool weekly. I don't like the crevice tool that came with the vacuum because dog hair wants to come out of the slots on the sides. Instead, I have to buy them separately.

Shark Vacuum Cleaner self-cleaning.
The absolute best when it comes to sucking up the dirt from the carpet. Carpet looks like new when you’re finished and it’s an unbelievable amount of dirt in the removable holder. This is my second Shark and I won’t use any other vacuum cleaner.

Cleans up Great!
We've had this vacuum for about a month and so far I love it. It cleans up well, love that it can be used on the hard floor and carpet, the long extender, it's not too loud, and the head will curve around for different edges. Highly recommend.

Parts- unavailability at a retail level
Bothers me that I have to go through you to buy parts. My vacuum repair store says that he cannot replace my hose because the hoses are particular to Shark products. Don’t have a problem with that- but why cant he buy them through you?

Picks up everything
Just got it a few weeks ago because my dog sheds so much and I needed a vacuum that would pick up all the hair. I vacuumed my couch and it looked almost like new when I was done. The vacuum picks up everything, I'm very happy with it.

Disappointed...
I was looking for a vacuum cleaner with excellent suction for long hair on carpets. For this, this vacuum cleaner is fantastic.
But..... it is SO heavy, that I can't vacuum more than 2 rooms at the same time or my hand/arm/shoulder will get sore. Yet I am young and fit, I am not supposed to have this kind of problem. For this reason, I think I will need another one soon.
Moreover, the 3.6 extendable meters hose is a joke as the vacuum cleaner will fall as soon as you pull it a little bit...

Would recommend
So far so good! It lifted the cat hair off the carpet no problem at all - my previous vacuum struggled with that. Whilst a little heavier than I thought it would be, it's still easy to move around and I don't have a problem.

Disappointing Shark Navigator pet
I’ve had a couple shark vacuums and this one was an upgrade and I don’t like it. Constantly falls over, the brush is not self cleaning whatsoever and recently the hose just snapped. No bargain and not worth the extra money.

Awesome Suction!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product complimentary from tryit sampling. The vacuum is a little heavier than my previous one and a little harder to push, however it has a swiveling head which makes it easier to get to certain areas to clean. It also is not as loud as my old vacuum. It has an extending hose to reach places I haven't been able to previously. It comes with 3 different attachments like a slanted corner piece with duster, regular duster piece, and a piece to clean upholstery. It has 2 suction options for hardwood/area rugs and regular carpet. I REALLY like the double filtration system and large canister so I don't have to empty as often. The self cleaning roller brush is a nice addition and has an indicator light that let's you know if anything is stuck. I also read in the manual that the vacuum has an automatic temperature shutoff if the vacuum gets too hot for whatever reason. There's so many great features and I'm glad I chose this product especially since I have 2 cats that shed a lot. I definitely recommend.

Shark navigator pet pro
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tbis Vacuum has the best suction out of any vacuum I have ever owned. It gets ll the dog hir out of my carpet and them some. I didnt know my carpet held so much dirt. I like that it holds a lot so I dont have to stop to dump it. The attatchments are great. The best one is the brush that you can twist to the right position to get those hard to reach spots. I like the the spin does not catch as much hair as my old vacuum. This one is the best.

Won't last
When you first get this vacuum you will probably love it...for about 2 years. Then the parts start breaking. It cost as much as our Hoover, but sure doesn't last like the Hoover (in fact, we still have our old Hoover downstairs -- works like a champ and nothing is broken. But the Shark is a lot lighter).
We have replaced parts on the Shark multiple times to keep it going. Now we are faced, yet again, with the choice of trying to find another part to fix the handle latch; or just trash it.

So easy to use!
This vacuum is so easy to put together and use. The bigger tank allows me to vacuum the entire floor before dumping it. It's features are simple and easy. This is the best vacuum I've owned. I'm so glad I bought it.

The Shark Takes A Bite Out Of Dog Hair
I ended up buying two of these. They're great. The only con is the carpet setting gets really loud. Louder than my older shark. Hopefully that's the brush kicking up ask that dog hair. This is a definite buy!

Absolutely love this vacuum! I thought my old lux was good but this one has brought life back to my carpets! Apart from the cord getting in the way when you vacuum this lux is definitely worth the money!

Works amazing!
I've used mine a few times now and have found it works beautifully. I have a long haired cat that sheds a lot and it cleans everything up super well. I've had no problems with anything getting tangled up inside.
I went from a kmart vaccum to this and was shocked to see how much dirt came out of the carpet!
It's very easy to use and empty. The only downside so far is the cord position at the bottom but I have found if I wrap a small section around the flip out this usually isn't a problem.

Fantastic Vacuum
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Personally I love this vacuum so much. We have a couple of Maltese dogs, and with that comes lots of shedding! Most vacuums are unable to pick up the hair from these dogs, but this Shark is exceptional in gathering my dogs’ pesky hairs! Really! It is also easily maneuverable, and I found that it is not too loud, which is great, since my wife is remote teaching at present. Don’t hesitate to make your life easier with this awesome machine!

Not impressed
We purchased our 2nd Shark vacuum cleaner about 2 years as our original one died after 5 years. This one did a good job right up to around 3 months ago as it started losing suction no matter how much we cleaned it, didn't pick up much off the floor and the bearings started making a funny noise til it gave up last weekend. Not purchasing another one at all and have turned to a cheaper brand bagless vacuum cleaner that works really well. These should last quite a long time not 2 or 3 years.

Hairless brushroll!!!!
The brush roll really is self cleaning! I dont think it has as powerful of suction as our regular Shark vacuum, and its REALLY a lot harder to push... but it's much quieter than our other vacuums.
