Once again, another great Shark product purchase
After 16 years, my Shark Navigator hose gave in - and given my great experience, there was only one ever choice for a replacement - another Shark product!
I purchased the PowerDetect and am super glad I did. If I thought the Navigator was brilliant - this new vacuum has pulled out even more unseen dirt from my carpets and rugs!
I have also been very impressed at Shark's move to sustainable packaging. Almost all items are now protected with sturdy / thick unbleached paper and cardboard. I cannot believe other companies aren't doing this.
I bought my initial Shark product on a word-of-mouth recommendation and have been endorsing Shark products ever since!

The best vacuum I have owned
We bought this vacuum after speaking with someone from the Waurn ponds harvey Norman store, we needed something that could easily be used on stairs but we did not want to buy another stick vac and did not want one with a bag. The suction on this vacuum is amazing and has cleaned my carpet better than any other one I have owned. The detect feature is great for going up against skirting boards and for when your changing different types of flooring. Have recommended to a close friend and she purchased one and loves it also.

Wow, Wow, Wow.... Great suction!!
I bought this Shark Vacuum last week and used it straight away. The suction is out of this world. (So much better than the Dyson) So easy to empty ..no bag! I was embarrassed, and impressed, with how much dirt and cat hair it collected. Very easy to use, I love the detection technology this machine has. **The only down side for me, is the hand held function needs a longer hose for when your doing stairs etc. If your just using the small powerhead I found I needed to move the tank every 3 stairs to reach the next section. Best Vacuum I've ever used! Very happy.

Exceptional cleaning power ! 10/10 rating should be givin to this vacuum cleaner.
It is big and heavy, compare with those cordless ones. However, it does the cleaning job well, so if you are looking for best cleaning result, and has a good upper body strength, this is way better choise.

Absolutely amazing!!
Vacuuming results are mind blowing, never seen anything like it. And the machine is rated at 600W only (+70W for power head). Compared to 1400 - 2000W of other machines which are getting left in the dust (pun intended 😂).
Wonder how long that sensor technology will last, but with two years warranty it’s some peace of mind.
Two-edged sword:
The suction and the forward pull are so strong that it can become a bit of a workout. (That’s on “Detect” mode, when it cranks up to remove the dirt).
The attachments are basic but ok.

Great vaccum with a significant flaw
Very happy with the suction and cleaning ability of this machine. Picks up heaps of debris from thick carpet.
The power detect mode takes a bit to think and moving straight onto rugs will see it bunch up with the red stoppage light. The machine has to be turned off and restarted for the power head to start again.
The biggest design flaw is the balance of the machine when using the wand. The stiff hose constantly pulls the upright machine over nearly every time it's stretched. It's constantly tipping unless you use the lift away function. Unfortunately you can only then use the wand one handed which is very awkward. Be very careful using it on hard surfaces with wand as the plastic will break sooner rather than later with it constantly tipping over.

Outstanding!!!!
I just purchased this the other day, with multiple cats and a baby on the way, we needed something to remove the cat hair from the carpet, and this machine is it!!! Highly recommend. My only regret is not purchasing one sooner!
