Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cordless I've ever used! These cordless phones represent excellent value. Solid construction. You can feel the quality in the handset. due to the visual and audio features. You can even set the system to announce your caller if you have caller ID with your service provider. Excellent for anyone with hearing impairments; problems with vision; wanting something with decently sized and spaced controls; or anytime where hearing the phone ring and/or not being able to hear the caller clearly, such as in a business/factory environment has been an issue. The screen's a decent size, but if you have trouble seeing what you've dialed, you can set it to speak each digit you key in. The only minus point might be the weight of the handset, though I actually like it. You "warm to it" fairly quickly and it feels solid and durable, but it 'may' be an issue if you have weak hands/arthritis. Having said that, there's a belt clip, so I just hook it onto my trousers or at the top of my T-shirt. Or you can place the phone on the table. The speaker is of high quality, so you won't have any trouble hearing or being heard. The combinations of lights and ringers is fully customisable, even down to tone selection of EACH ringer style. Battery standby is excellent and the display will show 'fully charged' when it is complete. A full charge is roughly 7hrs, so an overnight charge does the trick. Speaker phone on cordless handsets and bases is usually [in my experience] scratchy and poor. Not with this unit. Callers say the quality is crisp and clear and no one ends up cutting over the top of the person at either end of the conversation. This applies equally to the base unit too, and you don't have to shove your face in it to be heard! The 3 one touch 'frequent caller' memory buttons on the base are handy and these are matched to the handset also. I FULLY RECOMMEND this cordless unit to ANYONE wanting exceptional quality. Panasonic will give you a $20-00 cash-back either on-line or by post, providing they receive your application no later than December 18 (2016), so grab your claim docket from the display stand or salesperson. The unit is also available with one base, one separate charger, and two handsets - sometimes referred to as a "one plus one." If this Panasonic Cordless Phone doesn't win an award for being the number one best cordless unit, I will be extremely surprised, as Panasonic have put a lot of thought into this model - which is evident the moment you first use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Buy Nice and loud, so I can definitely hear it over all the chaos that goes on. Easy to set up and use. The caller id is a bonus although you have to set that up with your service provider was very easy. I like how there is a button for slowing the other persons pace of talking down so that you know what they're saying. So far so good.

Was recommended.mended, and it is reasonable, but I don't believe better than other phones. The major problem with this phone is that when you hang up on a caller, the block caller button is the menu button. Top left button. So it is very easy to block the caller after finishing speaking to them. They don't k ow how to check or remove block callers, so every week when I visit, I need to Che k their phone and unblock callers they don't want blocked. It is an awfully stupid design. I can't believe the designers didn't consider that putting the block caller button at the most prominent position on the phone would not be a hindrance. Unless we have assurances that the next phone model fixes this problem, we will not bu a Panasonic phone again.

Solid construction, features that are useful and easy to use such as larger buttons, extra volume, battery backup and much more. In short, this phone rocks and a zillion times better than others (including other Panasonic models that some Telcos will try to sell you!). Highly recommend this phone for anyone 'older' or not super tech savvy and needs reliable functionality!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not fit for purpose. I have found this phone extremely difficult to set up and use. As a vision impaired person it is not fit for purpose. Much too easy to block callers accidentally because of where the button is. I regret this purchase and do not recommend it.

Can this phone be used on a wireless and or a Fibre plan as proposed by spark as they phase out their PSTN network

Thanks for your question Andrew. Sadly it does not possess a connection to hook directly to a modem, and could require the use of a VOIP adapter if compatible. We would highly recommend consulting with your Telco first, as they will have recommended models to use on their network, which will guarantee compatibility and ease of use. Trust this helps! ^CO
