KX-TG6822 Twin Handset Cordless Phone
This purchase was bought for my elderly Mum - my Mum is really impressed with the phones as her previous phone gave her no end of problem. Mum has found the phone to be very easy to use and has found the various functions of the phone very good, also the phone is very comfortable and easy to hold especially as Mum has a bit of arthritis in her hands.

Impressive Phone
Consumer Magazine was right; this is a very good phone crammed with useful features, some of which will take me a while to get used to. I particularly like the answer phone and wonder why I paid Spark(Telecom) year after year for this service which is now, of course, "free". I also like the clear, easily heard ringing tone.

No Dial tone - couldn't hear when they picked up
Well, this phone looks good,unfortunately couldn't get a dial tone, could ring out - but didn't know when they answered. Am back to my old phone :(

To set the answering message on the Panasonic KX-TG6822, press MENU, then #302, select "Yes" to record, speak your greeting after the beep, press STOP, and then press OFF to save; you can also activate the machine by pressing the Answer ON/OFF button on the base unit. How long does the battery last when you have the phone of the hand set
Hi Amigo, the handset lasts up to 170 hours on standby and around 15 hours of talk time when fully charged. Charging takes about 7 hours. These figures assume the use of the supplied Ni-MH AAA rechargeable batteries and optimal conditions. Battery life may decrease over time or with heavy usage.

If you're already on a call and someone else tries to call you, will the voicemail engage for that second call? Or does the voicemail only work if a call is unanswered?
Thanks for your question Jimmy. Traditionally, voicemail will only engage if a call is unanswered. If the line is active and in use, it should not be able to establish a connection to the system for voicemail to activate. Check with your service provider, for specific info. Hope this helps! ^CO

can you lock the screen, so you can put in your pocket ?
Thanks for your question Scottie. No, you will not be able to lock the screen but the keys can be locked so that no calls or settings can be made while the handset is in your pocket. Incoming calls can be answered, but all other functions are disabled while key lock is on. Trust this helps!
