Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable, high speed WiFi 7 router We decided to replace our ISP provided modem/router combination with our own separate cable modem and router. Besides allowing us to no longer pay a monthly fee, it enabled us to upgrade to the latest WiFi technology to get the best speed and reliability for our home network. Installation was relatively easy. We had to re login to a couple of devices, but most of them reconnected right away since we kept the same network information as our last device. The new router increased our local speed to where we are getting between 1.5 and 2 GBPS locally, and about 1.4 GBPS download over our ISPs connection which is advertised at 1.2 GBPS.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent all round product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From setup to operation it really took less than twenty minutes, and that includes disconnecting the old router and updating firmware of the nighthawk router. Using the nighthawk app is very straightforward and user friendly. Network speeds did increase from the ISP router and now we have guest network functionality and improved security with help from the armor backed by bitdefender firewall. That is the greatest benefit is protection for all the peripheral or IoT devices in the home like cameras which are scanned and safeguarded from hackers now. Will continue to use nighthawk products in the future!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but difficult install Once I got it working it is great but the install took me 5 hours. I did everything the instructions said to do but I couldn't get internet access. Worst part is that I don't get good 5G coverage on my phone so the app wasn't working - took me a LONG time to find the tiny words that said 'manual install here'. Once I did that I was able to get it installed. Install relies on the phone too much. Catch 22 since my phone only works well w/ wifi but I didn't have wifi until I installed the new router. Also instructions are not clear re: which port to put the tower cable into. Had to do trial and error.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strongly recommend! Hi! I work for an MSP as a Service Tech Consultant where I manage networks for multiple clients, so please consider this as a Tech level review! I am very satisfied with my purchase of this router. I have previously rented/leased a router from my ISP, and felt like we were starting to max out the capabilities of that which prompted the upgrade to the RS200. I noticed an instant difference in coverage/speeds, and as the days progress it only gets better. I can confidently say that the 2500 sq ft coverage is accurate, and setup was quick and easy. Unboxed router, connected, called ISP(spectrum) which took less than five minutes, and afterwards we were up and running. Great Job on this one NETGEAR!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wifi7! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compact, discrete design of this router belies its capabilities. My home is not large at 1950 square feet, so the range of the RS200, is sufficient for coverage of the house. I have recently moved from coaxial cable to fiber optic (for obvious reasons). I settled for the 300mbps level since I’m not a gamer nor do I download large files. My Speedtest results in the router location ate consistently from download 305 to 314mbps to and upload speed of 205-305 mbps. No lag, no dropout, no problems! I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WiFi Coverage Worse Than Expected I purchased this router, hoping it would be an upgrade from my Netgear XR1000. With the RS200 advertising 2,500 sq.ft of coverage (same as XR1000) but with WiFi 7 instead of WiFi 6 - I was expecting to see some speed performance enhancements - only to find that the range of the RS200 to have SIGNIFICANTLY worse coverage than the XR1000 (which was released 4 years earlier). I'm seeing an average decrease in speed of ~300-400 Mbps from only 500ft away from the router. I have had an active support case open since April (and I'm writing this review in October) and keep getting left in the dark by the support team. The replacement unit they sent me months ago is experiencing the same issues. I couldn't be more disappointed in this purchase - and I'm even more disappointed in the service the support team is providing. I would not recommend the RS200 router if you're looking to upgrade a <5 year old router with similar specs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Furture proof you Network [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased NET GEAR Nighthawk BE6500 Wi-Fi 7 Router as a christmas gift to myself. what i like about it is that this router comes with 2 2.5gbps Ethernet ports and two standard 1Gb Ethernet ports.WiFi access is simple to setup from your smart phone or connected from you PC. WiFi offers 2,50osqFeet range upgraded WPA3 encryption for enhance security. This router offer excellent parental controls and is worth the subscription if you a concerned parents. Comes with network security package from bit defender.This is a great if you want to set it and forget it the NET GEAR Nighthawk BE6500 Wi-Fi 7 Router would be an excellent for you.
