It is very easy to setup and I now have full wi-fi coverage in every corner or my house and in every storey. Even outside in the yard we have a great connection where there were dead spots before. The wi-fi speed is now very fast and the connection is reliable.

These deco’s work incredibly well for their pricepoint and you can network them together too unlike the nest. Easy to setup and reliable. Really good product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Range Extender Alternative Purchased this while they were on special because I was having trouble getting internet into the bedrooms. The product works well. I did not notice any speed differences like others but I now have steady internet in the bedrooms. The design is contemporary and pleasant to look at, sort of blends in with the surrounding. The setup was a little fiddly and like a novice I thought this would replace my modem. It's basically a range extender so you still need your whole internet setup.

In these times of working from home it seems incredible this has been overlooked. Now I have to drive 2hrs to swap with a system that does support VPN

We aim to dispatch orders within 2 days. Delivery costs are calculated based on your location and the size of your order. Furniture may take up to 8 weeks to deliver as most products are made specifically for your order. Does the deco x50 work as a modem or do I connect it to my existing modem?

Thanks for your question Dan. If you have a router or a modem router at home already, you can connect the main Deco unit to your existing router to extend the network. After connecting either way, just follow the Deco app to finish setting up your Wi-Fi and allow other Deco units to connect to the main broadcast. Trust this helps! ^CO

Is the 2 pack Deco x50 also a router like the x55 or do I need a separate router.

Great question! Yes, the TP-Link Deco X50 is designed to replace a current router, and can also be used in an Access Point mode to extend the reach of an existing network. You can use either one as the main router or as an extender. Trust this helps!
