Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and ready Great product. Expected the usual difficulties with setting up any new tech around the house but no, it was a simple app download, plug and play. App is easy to use in its layout of functioning options and alerts. The one camera I have placed in the kitchen area has 2k zoomable view of the kitchen, dinning, lounge room and front door all while keeping its clear quality picture. I like that the night vision still maintains its quality throughout while I can hear the frogs out back 700kms away all while the house is locked up like a vault. I Will be acquiring a few more to keep an extra eye on the old boy 700km away.

The only thing I would change is the length of the chord as we were planning to place quite high up in the corner of the kids bedroom but it can’t reach from the plug. Would be great if Arlo had extension chords available for purchase for the indoor cameras.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rubbish Hi, I purchased five Arlo Essential cameras to replace my Arlo Pro cameras, which were excellent. Unfortunately, the Essential cameras have had ongoing issues from day one and have been nothing but problems, especially with charging and performance. I have completely lost confidence in the product. Under Australian Consumer Law, I believe these would be considered a major failure, and I would like to request a refund. Please advise on the next steps. Thank you.

Bought two of these gen 2 indoor cameras to add to my other two Gen 1 indoor cameras and these are a step up in features, especially clarity and colour during night mode. Also I like the flexibility that the gen 2 camera does not have to be added to an Arlo Base to work, however it can still be integrated into existing security routines with all your other Arlo devices. Highly recommended product!

It was also very simple to add to our other arlo home cameras. The kids love using this little arlo to check in on our family cat throughout the day. We even call it “Cat Cam”.

Does this Camera support 24/7 Recording

Thanks for your question. According to Arlo, some Arlo cameras can record non-stop to the Arlo cloud when plugged into AC power. You need to purchase a CVR plan for each compatible Arlo camera. Log in to your account, settings, and click Arlo Secure to add a CVR plan. When you have a CVR subscription, you can access either 14 or 30 days of continuous video recordings, and can't download. Trust this helps! ^CO
