A great product let down by one simple thing.
We are renovating our home and installed two Go 2 cameras with SIM connection while we living off site. The set-up and connection was easy and the cameras work exactly as we want them too. The battery life is also surprisingly great!
The one thing that lets the whole set-up down is the notification of movement during the night. On one particular night we had an intruder enter the property and the automatic activation of the camera lights due to motion was a good deferent, BUT I didn't find out about it until the morning. The notification settings through the App do not allow for an alarm to be set for motion detection of people so that I can wake-up and act.
If this aspect of the App was updated you would have a 5 star product review from me.

Best camera for places without wifi
Bought this camera so I could install one on the end of the house where the wifi is unreliable. Easy installation to its accompanying solar panel. I did try several SIM cards but only the Telstra (Australia) branded one worked. Also requires 2.4GHz wifi so won’t connect to my google mesh which is dual band but mainly bought it for the LTE service anyway. Great picture quality. Overall great addition to my system.

Good it is what I was looking for
I've had the go 2 for almost 2 months now and its been good I needed it to monitor my dads house when he got sick had to go to hospital being a big property and 2 hours away from my home was easy to just place the arlo go 2 up in couple different spots around the property good app clear images gave me a peace of mind knowing I had them watching over his house

I bought 3 of these cameras for the security of my workshop and they were set up in minutes and ready to keep my stuff safe and secure. Couldnt be happier with them. I Called customer service to ask about the wheather they can handle and had no waiting on hold. Got through straight away to a friendly staff member. Recommend

Good but could be better.
I bought a camera this month and there are still room for improvement in its performance. The charge is never 100% even with solar. The access to the camera is not always available in the app and app is not user friendly. The night vision is affected if camera is close to some object. The imagem is good though.

Easy to Install - Works a Treat!
I have used this camera for a month now, and I am very happy with its performance. It was very easy to fit and connect to our wifi. I have also purchased a long cable separately to facilitate easy charging, but have not recharged the battery yet because it's still at 62%. I have an Arlo subscription.

Very Versatile
Ibought this camera around a month ago and this was followed by 3 wired cameras which have been great as my wife has a terrible illness called PSP and I need to watch her at all times as she is prone to fall backwards with this disease. I am delighted to add these to my collection.

Thanks for your question Noddy. Standby battery life without activation is up to 330 days while actual use varies depending on triggers, alert volumes, and activations. Motion zones and recording times can be customised in the Arlo Secure App, and Arlo secure cloud subscriptions are subject to change, with pricing on the Arlo website. ^CO

Am about to buy 2-3 GO2 4G wifi 1080P's. Been told they have inbuilt sims so dont need a wifi connection or homebase? Also how would I connect them to a plan? Getting too much conflicting info, please help!
Thanks for your question. No, these do not have in-built or embedded SIM cards. Your Arlo Go 2 camera requires an activated SIM card with a mobile data plan, and coverage, to access the mobile network, or access to a WiFi network. This will allow it to communicate with the Arlo Security App for notifications etc. Hope this helps! ^CO

Hi. What is the distance from the camera at which it will pick up movement. Our cell tower signal is reasonable but not ideal. Does this matter? We do not have 240 power so will have to rely on battery power. Is a data plan essential?
Hi Bluey, thanks for your question. This camera will pick up movement from 23 ft away so you won't necessarily need to worry about your cell tower signal due to the distance, a data plan isn't needed for this camera also or the app plan. Hope this helps!
