Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Price I bought it due to price. I had a Gen 1 that I really like. Gen 2, while works fine, is but a shell of the Gen 1. Does not stay in place due to light weight of product(plastic v metal), but it adequate for our use. Using at 2nd home, is able to be added to current phone app so both places can be viewed, but it's a bit obnoxious that one has to have a separate account(ie, pay more) to continue recordings. Setup process was a breeze. Again, operation is marginal due to quality/weight of item. Camera seems adequate. Would recommend to those knowing what they're really buying depending on their need. I'd rather have a Gen 1 at the same price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from One of the worst purchases of my lifetime. I own multiple Ring products that were easy to setup and are easy to use. I purchased my first indoor cam (2nd Generation) to add to my collection. It will not connect to my home network . Period. “Did you try “X”? Yes I did.” I am not a tech noob, I understand how tech products can be tricky to setup in some cases. I turned to the net to find others with similar issues and lo and behold this particular product is one that is a pain if you can tweak your router in a certain way. I just wanted this to be plug and play like all other Ring products but sadly this was not the case. Avoid at all costs. You have been warned. I never write reviews….

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Device We've only had the indoor camera for a few weeks, but definitely like it's features. We use it in the living room facing the main entryway. It has a wide field of vision that is deep enough to include all of our target area. One thing we have to deal with..... we have a small dog (<10 lbs) who normally lays on the couch in the middle of the living room. The motion detection sensor is so sensitive that it is set off every time he moves. I'm not sure yet if we can decrease the sensitivity to avoid little dog movement alerts without reducing the sensitivity so much that it doesn't pick up the movement we want detected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second time is a charm The indoor cam 2nd generation cannot hook up for anything. I lost three hours of my life when I finally went online figure it out it’s just not working they gladly said they’re going to download everything into a new one and mail it to me which they did I got it approximately eight days later, and it took no more than six minutes to hook up the new one and what a beautiful picture and everything else works fine about it. I actually ordered another one for the back area of the house. Let’s just hope I don’t have the same problem. I did with the first one but at least now I will not hesitate to chat and get it solved.

Manual Privacy Cover: A key differentiator from the first generation, the built-in, swiveling cover physically blocks the camera lens and turns off the microphone for privacy. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than Gen 1 I’ve had 4 Gen 1 Ring Indoor Camaro’s. Liked them, but they’re not so great against a window. Prime Day I got 6 Gen 2’s and they are way better against a window. Only thing I miss I’d the ability to remove the base and screw in a flexible clamp. That said, with the Prine Day discount, I was able to get a better price than my Wyze cameras, replaced them all and now have the Indoor Cameras in the same app as my Floodlight Cameras, Alarm, and Doorbell Pro. Personally, I don’t really need the cover. You could have them go on and off with a smart plug and routine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New feature I want you to create a camera when l put it inside the house in front of a window there is no reflection I have my stick up facing the window looking outside, but at night! All l get is the reflection of the camera! So build a camera that when place in it in front of a window at night l do not get its reflection, but an outside view of the night life and keeping an outside recording of the night. That what l want to see Ring do now because l can’t afford to put camera outside but l can put it by the window to look outside especially for night time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ring cameras We have had Ring cameras before this purchase. They are so easy to set up and install. The camera is very sensitive to movement and has a wide field of vision. It has proven to be a great asset to us so we are expanding our network of cameras around the house. It’s comforting that we can sit upstairs and if we hear a noise from downstairs we can check the Rings to make sure we are still secure. We even set a camera Up so we can see when the washer and dryer downstairs has finished without having to go downstairs on a wasted trip! Great product 👍
