Easy Setup, Works Great, No Fees
I've had this doorbell for a week and so far it's been fantastic, I had it up and running in less than 10 minutes. You'll just need a phillips head screwdriver if you want to screw the mounting bracket into a wall (although they also included double sided tape if you don't want to drill), plus a smaller phillips head screwdriver if you wish to lock it to the mount.
I stumbled on Swann's doorbell as I didn't want to pay monthly storage fees to Ring or Arlo. Swann's one has a 32GB card in the back and a day of free cloud backup as well so I'll never have to worry.
The video quality is great & I like that I can move the chime around the house to hear it better if I'm in the garden.

Easy Setup, Crystal Clear View.
After a week with the SwannBuddy 4K Video Doorbell, I'm genuinely impressed. The setup process was straightforward, involving minimal effort to get it up and running. The clarity of the 4K video is exceptional and it is easy to see whoever is at the door, even at night. The wide 165° viewing angle makes for some hilarious screenshots when people stop to look at the doorbell. The product did need a firmware update straight out of the box, allow 10 minutes or so this. Curious as to what battery life will be, but so far, it's barely changed since install.

Nice camera quality but lack advance features like supporting Alexa/Google
Camera quality and night visions are great and works great with app. You may need to purchase larger memory size card but no mention of whats maximum size card it supports.
Also does not support Alexa or Google which allows to view video on Alexa Echo screen.

Great doorbell but!
The 4KBUDDY has been operating well with the exception that after replacing my phone with a Google Pixel 9 the Swann Security app now only displays what looks like a zoomed in picture from the 4KBUDDY.
No longer is the doormat visible! it's like the 1:1, 160-degree field of view is now about 90 degrees.
This display problem also exists on a Pixel 7 and a Samsung S9 tablet, that I've tested it on. The devices run Android 14 and 15. On my Pixel 4a5g the doorbell display was correct and showed the full field of view.
Hopefully a firmware update on the doorbell or an Android update will fix the annoying problem!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The camera image quality is pretty good, even at night with its built-in IR emitter. It's perfect for what I need it for. The other thing I appreciate is the different settings it gives you which helps you a lot with getting your setup just right, such as only detecting motion on selected parts of the camera. That way you can keep it from activating from a tree moving in the wind but still catch people walking up to the house. Even if people don't ring the bell I still can get a notification on my phone. They also have been constantly updating the software/firmware to add new feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The app for this security camera is amazing. Ring could take a lesson in the functionality of the services they offer. You can schedule your camera to be off when you are home and on when you are gone. There is even a usage log to see your highest trafficked times of the day. The audio and video are pretty clear as well. A Little laggy but could just be my network. Overall I think it is a really good product. I don't know much about the brand or its security from hackers. I took a star away for the appearance. It kinda looks like a kids toy and I don't really like that the intercom/speaker is separate. Other than that great product!
