Great little Cameras
Great little Cameras, live on a rural property in outer Melb, lots of trees and obstructions, extended WiFi is as great as suggested so also purchased one of the bigger ones for a more remote area on my site

Great little cameras!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great quality little cameras with amazing 4k video quality during the day and also with night vision.
Cameras were easy to install and being wifi (with great range), no messy cables to have to run back to the base!
Installing the app allows you to view your cameras live from your phone anywhere, as well as viewing cloud recordings, tqlking through the camera's intercom system and turning on/off the light or alarm as well as receiving alerts when someone enters the camera's zone.
In high traffic areas these can become quite frequent and lead to shorter battery life.

Definitely not something to miss out on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once using the camera the quality is better than what I expected. Setup was very easy to do and it is so reliable when we leave home. No issues with connectivity were had so it was great.

Great security cameras
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Already a loyal Swann customer and have been using their cameras for years and currently using them and we we’re looking to upgrade and get some extra cameras so this came at the perfect time and we absolutely love that they are wireless because our current ones are wired and obviously these are a lot more convenient to install. Installation is super easy. They come with mounts. They come with batteries that lost a very long time hopefully. Really easy to just unscrew off the mount, charge and put back and really happy that you can just directly wire this to the TV if you don’t want to use the app. Storage is also expendable if that’s something you are looking for.

Rocky start.
Hmmmm. Purchased in October. One of the mini cameras was intermittently faulty right out of the box. Swann did replace the faulty unit at no cost to me but I felt it took an unreasonable amount of effort by me to achieve this. Fault was reported on 19th Oct, replacement camera received 5th Nov. I find it disappointing that the support process is nowhere near as responsive as the sales process. I had to constantly follow-up to determine what was going on. Perhaps my expectations are unrealistic?
MaxRanger hub software is responsible, seems stable. I suspect it is targeted at online powered cameras and can be confusing when using report by exception batteries cameras as displayed information is often stale. As I’m a left hand mouse user and the primary and secondary mouse buttons are not to my liking and I have not found a way to swap the buttons.
iOS app is err flaky at best, plenty of room for improvement here. Pairing the app on my iPad with the hub was a challenge as the QR scan scanner function did not work and MxRanger hub was not available to select when pairing manually. I did manage to get my iPad paired in the end but not sure how I did it. Also many features in the app such as adjusting the PIR sensitivity based on the selected mode does not seem to work with the MaxRanger hub. I’m still investigating this, perhaps this functionality is not applicable to the MaxRanger hub?
Both cameras installed now and system is performing adequately, nervous about hardware longevity. House is an average size suburban house so no issues with RSSI and I like the fact that the system is not taking to much bandwidth on home Wifi.

Truly wireless security cameras
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are building a new house and having truly wireless security cameras have been amazing, we can reposition them anywhere we want at any time and check in on any work done when we aren’t at home. They also charge using a standard USB C cable which is very convenient. Quality is pretty good and night mode detection is pretty faultless too. All footage is locally stored too so there’s absolutely no subscription fees. Only small gripe is that it doesn’t hook into Apple Home or Google Home.

Super easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First things first this Wireless Security System is very easy to set up. Usually with all new set ups something goes wrong but with Swann Security System everything was smooth. The video quality is awesome. I also liked the night vision recording. It was surprisingly clear. The camera connected to the app very easily. What I love about it is that I no longer have to pay monthly fees as I did with my previous security system. I would highly recommend it.
