I recently installed the device and found the setup process to be straightforward and user-friendly—installation was easy.
However, I’ve noticed a few performance issues:
There is a noticeable delay when connecting to the hub and during app-based monitoring.
Movement detection also experiences a slight lag.
The wide-angle view is appreciated, but image clarity fades significantly over distance.
I hope this feedback helps improve future updates. Please let me know if there are any settings or updates I should try to enhance performance.

Very poor product stay away from this model.
The solar panels are inefficient and you have to pull the cameras down and recharge them every two weeks and that is over summer. They will not charge on cloudy days so winter will be a nightmare, within six weeks senior light on one dies not work, sensitivity settings are inconsistent, one day everything is being recorded next day nothing. My experiences are reflective of other customers, so it’s not a faulty unit that I purchased. I have had other Swann products in the past that performed stay away from this model.

Great Advanced Solar Security System
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Swann MaxRanger4K Solar Security System from Influenster, and I and I am very impressed. The Max Ranger 4k has so many advanced technology features and it is also incredibly easy to use. What I love the most about it is that the solar powered cameras have facial recognition and can distinguish between real threats and false alarms. Additionally, it can be controlled through the Swann Security app, without requiring a monthly subscription. Overall, I believe that the Max Ranger 4 is an excellent security system and highly recommend it to anyone looking for one.

A great system, ideal for rural and remote locations.
I’ve installed a 2 camera system on a house in rural NSW and found the cameras to be ideal.
Having the cameras powered by solar removes the need for costly electrical work to be done, or the need for placing the cameras in less than ideal spots. One camera has been placed on a non powered machinery shed and for the first time the location is now secure from unwanted nighttime visitors.
The ability to run the system with out without internet is also a plus. The NVR can easily be hidden away for more secure recording without the need for a TV or display all the time. With the low data requirements of the NVR to the Swann app when connected to to the internet, it also makes it ideal for connection, via a wifi extender, to a 4 or 5G wifi dongle with a low cost data plan.
These cameras are now providing security for a rural property and have already proved their usefulness.

Solar does not work
Had the Maxranger only about a week. 2 camera's are in full sun. I can't use the 4th camera as I need 1 on charge at all times as the charge runs out daily. I'm busy charging and changing over the camera's everyday with the heat waves we have been having and 2 of the camera's in FULL SUN you would think that the camera's solar panels would be keeping full charge.
Please don't respond with things I can do is FULL SUN as the answer has been for everyone else who has said the cameras are in full sun.
Or take down the settings as they are needed to be high to do there job. I still don't like just how close you need to be to trigger camera's sensor's.
Sometimes the sensors go off when there is nothing there or so delayed what ever it was is gone. Other times the sensors do not pick up cars the same distance as it picks up other times.
Can not make out number plates.
Can see down the street but hard to make out what things are so not really long view.
Basically I sit as security watching the screen all night as our street has had a lot of incidents most nights (some nights multiple incidents) and if I fall asleep chance are the camera might miss the event as I did the other morning out the front of a neighbours house though I do not think the camera would have got a clear recording anyway if I had pressed record manually as it just does not reach that far 44 metres clearly.
if I am sitting watching I can press the recored button but I don't always find my full recording in "recordings" It's all very time consuming.
To set up the camera's and app I had to agree to a subscription. Yet to look into that as Swann advertises that you don't need to pay subscription fee's.
Need clear footage for the police.

Swann Solar security system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This security system is a very easy set up and it’s a solar security system with the longest range wireless. It comes with two wireless cameras Wi-Fi hub with 64 GB microSD storage. It also comes with a QR scan code for Quickstart up guides and set up videos and tips. It also has great assistance and support. You can also talk to their helpful support staff and it gives you three different phone numbers for the US, UK, and AU.. It’s very nice and the video quality is very good.
Overall, I’m very pleased satisfied and I definitely recommend this security system.

Its has potential but needs work
The good
* Quality of Camera's is fantastic, just make sure to invest in the correct 4k Monitor.
* The range isn't a joke, I am double brick and they have absolutely full signal outside of my house and in my backyard which needs to wrestle with multiple walls, so I am impressed with that.
* The features such as the Spotlights, Siren are good touches, I like that the camera's seem to flash red and blue during the day too, not sure if that's a deterrent feature but still good.
Now the bad
*The Solarpanels are not good, You need direct and I mean DIRECT sunlight, I would be lucky to get half an hour of charge a day from the sun and they are positioned in what I'd consider good spots, above where my house solar panels are. I've noticed they don't feel like solar panels on top, like made of some sort of Polymer? Maybe its not as good quality as actual solar.
* Battery life leaves to be desired, I am on a busy road, and I do get a lot of notifications, I fully suspected it would be the case that it would cause the battery to drain a little faster, but I am getting at best a week before I take them down, charge them, Disappointing to say the least, the average response of turn down the sensitivity defeats the purpose of having the camera's I want them to be able to cast at least 10 metres from my property and being on a main street shows this aren't the correct set up for myself.
Overall, the features they went hard in such as camera quality and camera features are fantastic, but they've cheaped out on the Solar feature, and on the battery life, two parts that I expected to be far better.
Overall, they're good, but they need more R&D in battery life if they aren't going to invest in harder solar energy. I've noticed that I'm not the only one that agrees the Solar is average.

Excellent system
Purchased these cameras about 6 weeks ago and was a bit dubious about their effectiveness. After using them, I can happily say I am greatly impressed. We have the two camera, one router system (will by more.add ons when finances allow) one of these cameras faces the sun all day and has 100% charge since 10 May, it is the 15 June now. The other camera is on the opposite side of the house completely covered by the roof with no direct sun at all and after the same time, sits at 50% charge. Picture quality is awesome and ease of playback is good too. It doesn't offer continuous recording, for obvious reasons (battery drain) but tec9rds any events with ease. If you want something that rec9rds continuously, then go for wired. If I could give more than 5 stars I would
