I have researched for a home security camera for a while. Mr Gadget buyer’s guide dated 21 February 2022 listed it as one of the best outdoor cam around. For this price compared to the more expensive brands, there are some hits and misses. It can be too sensitive or not at all so you have to fine tune the software to that sweet spot. However with no compulsory monthly subscriptions, easy downloads and clear 3MP resolution, there is nothing much I can complain about except that the cam is hard-wired. The pros is that I don’t have to worry about replacing the batteries. I intend to add another C310 and C210 to the system

Great little camera. It can only be in one fixed position and needs to have access to mains power. This cannot be run on solar. For the price, its great value.
You can call on it. I use it to wake my partner sometimes when I can see she has missed her alarm.

For the price I guess it is ok but it's a bit hit and miss with detections. Lots of detections when cars pass by and lights flash onto veranda but misses sometimes when a person is actually there.

Local storage on the sd card is great. The app is easy to use and easy to download footage. Only uses bandwidth when viewing or downloading footage so the camera doesn't slow down the wifi

Is there an outdoor tapo that captures 180* wide view
Thanks for your question Matty. The maximum FOV on the current Tapo range available through Harvey Norman is 113°. The Tapo Smart Floodlight camera TC55V1 has a FOV of 153° which is the maximum for a static cams in the Tapo range. They do have pan/tilt security cameras which offer 360°, but are manual operation.
