Great large size, super soft fabric, easy controls. Glad for the safety measure of auto turn Off after 3 hours, good peace of mind. The temperature is divine, my lower back aches blissfully subsided almost the moment I put it on. I've used it between my chair and my back (at work and at home), across and under my legs, under my feet, wrapped around my arms, across my chest/neck, it's just so versatile. Good for warming the bed too. Looking to get the Sunbeam shoulder and neck heating pad also, seems this brand knows their stuff! Well worth it, don't hesitate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All round great product I purchased this to replace cheaper electric heat packs that weren't lasting long and it is a life saver. So comfy and great temperature options! I use this mainly for my cramps and muscle pain. It is a lil big but it's easy enough to fold slightly and move around to use just for my lower abdomen. I love that it switches off after 3 hours so I can fall asleep with it worry free.

I find that I generally only use heat setting on number 1. I am extremely happy with my purchase and highly recommend them to anyone wishing to have fast, reliable heat.

I discovered this a couple of weeks ago after suffering for weeks previously with a neck/upper back injury which caused pain down my arm too. I had been trying to apply heat to my neck back and arm with hot water bottles and wheat packs. I then discovered this Heating pad and almost bought the regular size but I am so glad I purchased the XL. I have been able to apply a really good amount of heat on Setting 5 and it covers and is malleable enough to wrap around large or multiple areas to provide excellent relief. Highly recommend

If you can use it in bed, is it ok to fall asleep with while using.

Great question! While it can be used in bed, it shouldn't be used while you're asleep as if it get's creased or folded, the wires can break, and can become a fire risk. An electric blanket may be a better option as they are designed to stay flat on the mattress, reducing the risk of damage. Hope this helps! ^MF

Is this heat pad safe to sit on without damaging it?

Thanks for your question. According to the manufacturer, its designed to for application from your upper to lower back, across your abdominal area, or along your arms and legs. They suggest users avoid sitting on or crushing the pad, as this may impact its integrity. Trust this helps! ^CO

I did contact the nearest Harvey Norman store at Mt Roskill. They informed me that the max temp for this Sunbeam heat pad HPM5100 is only 39degrees C & not 71.1 degrees C as you replied online. Why this contradiction?

Is this available at the nearest retail outlet in Auckland, I am at Three Kings, Auckland. What is the maximum temperature in the Centigrade this can reach? Can this be used as a wrap- around on thigh, calf to be strapped on by velcro straps?

Thanks for your question Carlton. Your nearest store would be in Mt Roskill. You can contact them by phone to check if this is currently available. The temperatures are as follows; Low is up to 30°C, Mild is 31 to 33°C, Medium is 34 to 36°C, and High is 37 to 39°C. The 5th setting is for rapid heat only and should not be used continuously. You can wrap it around your thigh or calf however it does not include velcro straps to hold it in place. Trust this helps!
