I have a 15 year old Norelco shaver that has never had the blades changed and it does a better job than this new shaver. What model do i need to purchase to get a decent shave?

This is my first electric razor to use on a daily basis - I had to switch from disposable razors due to recent surgery that requires me to be on blood thinners (can’t risk knocking (sp?) myself). It takes a bit longer to get a really smooth shave, but I’m getting used to it. With really good gel-type shaving cream, it does very well. It cleans quickly and easily; I really like that it is waterproof.

It's been a while since I've used this type of shaver and I have to say I didn't had many pleasing memories, but this one totally chaged my mind about them, the included trimmer it's a game changer since you can easily get rid of any long hairs which will allow for an easier smoother shave in less time and the 3 individual self moving heads definitely add a lot into achieving it.

At 69 years old this shaver is, by far, the very best that I have ever owned, I've previously had Braun and Remington but this one out shaves all the others. Even though this is a dry/wet shaver, I can't see any reason as to why one would want to bother to wet shave with it because the closeness of the dry shave is superb and the closest I ever got to manually wet shaving. The shaver is reassuringly weighty in it's build quality, charges incredibly quickly giving dozens of shaves before it does need recharging. It cleans very efficiently under Luke warm running water and dries quickly. I'm absolutely delighted I found this shaver and would most definitely highly recommended it. I'm almost tempted to buy another in case, for whatever reason, Phillips decide to discontinue it!

Always found Philip’s Shavers reliable & this Model comfortable & easy to use. A quick blast under the tap & it’s clean, a nice smooth shave, does everything I require.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So close, but just not good enough I bought this shaver a few months ago. It's painfully disappointing. It misses hairs often, even if you go over the region several times. Unfortunately, that also causes skin irritation. The stubble has to be a certain length or the shaver will not be able to cut it, meaning that 5 o'clock shadows are hard to remove. It also leaves a considerable length after use. Easy to clean though, which is nice. Lightweight, so it's nice for travel. My advice would be to spend more money on one that works — I wish I had.

This is good because if a hair gets pulled out a bit before being cut there's a greater chance of an ingrown hair happening. Can take quite a few passes to get all hairs once they grow out more than a few days, but since it doesn't cause razor burn that doesn't seem to be a problem. Excellent product would buy again and I recommend it.

It gives a nice close shave, and particularly moves smoothly over the awkward areas around the jawline due to the movement in the head of the shaver. It is however slightly noisier than expected. The only real criticism I have with this product is a small one, and that is that it provides no indication or visual warning as to when the battery is beginning to run low, which can result in the shaver suddenly stopping part-way through a shave.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent replacement for my old Norelco Although the start/stop button is placed lower on the handle than my previous shaver which took a week or two to retrain my thumb muscle memory, the shaver works spectacularly. I like the relative quietness of the shaver when it's in the sideburn area. Shave is fast and thorough.

The shave isn’t quite as close as single foil shaver though. So I do a quick whizz over with a regular single foil shaver afterwards - perfect!

It struggles with what seems like limited motor power. The end result is it takes 2 to 3 times longer to get an acceptable shave.Disappointing.

I had a deflective shaver which with some difficulty was replaced (as it had stopped charging).

The Philips Wet & Dry model was my first choice, having read about the range available. My first shaving experience with my new Philips razor, was WOW, what have I missed over the years? What a difference in a shave, no more cuts, no more costly blades to buy, smooth and clean. Yes, I surely do recommend the Philips Wet & Dry shavers, you'll wish you tried them years before.

The razor, excellent made qualitatively and assembled neatly, generally looks just gorgeous. The ergonomic body design makes it very easy to handle with, perfect for you to take with on travel or on business trip. No irritated skin afterwards and clean cut looking face. This shaver has all you need - quick charge, long shave time and you can exert a little presure to get really close, the trimmer works well too.

From when you take it out of the box you can see it oozes luxury . This shaver has a trimmer attached as well as a ergonomic design which means it fits right into my hand .With PowerCut blades being engineered for a consistent clean shave. As soon as you switch it on you, it as if by magic glides along your skin effortlessly. For use on both wet and dry skin I found that this left my skin soft , smooth and hair free. I love the trimming attachment as it was very easy to use and it means that I only ever need one product when travelling. The shaver is easy to clean and has a 5 min quick charge feature which is amazing if you are in a rush . Overall I love this and would definitely recommend it!
