Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brilliant Beard Trimmer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Beard Trimmer really is one of the best for styling and shaping. It’s smooth, doesn’t pull (like some cheaper alternatives” and has enough weight to be controlled. The packaging is stylish, and the carry-bag useful. It’s comes with a USB charger rather than shaver, again, something useful for looking good on the go. The only slight drawback of the product is - it can be clunky to change the heads quickly, they sometimes get stuck or unable to easily be removed - this isn’t a big drawback, but overtime. I’m hoping these loosen up and become a bit easier to attach.

I love the smaller increments that you get on the dial vs clipper heads. Only downside is I usually shave my beard down to a 3mm and after doing that I went back over it with my older model norelco and a lot came off still so I think due to the hair catcher a smaller size is needed. It’s very quiet and charges fast I like the long battery life on it as well. Clean up isn’t that great as the hair catcher doesn’t catch all the hair but there’s a disclaimer that it won’t so no big deal but when you go to empty the hair catcher it’s a bit messy other than that it’s a solid product

It give a very clean neat trim, the attachments are great. The precision dial for making adjustments is brilliant fast and so accurate with both attachments big and small. It is a great for stubble control and shaping. The trimmer has a built in hair collector, it is a good add although it doesnt collect much hair although it does not need to be used. Battery time is great, 5 minute charge for a quick trim. Fully washable. Definitely pay attention when removing heads as the pins that clip in feel like they would snap easily. Would recommend.

The performance and noise level on this beard trimmer are pretty similar. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks and haven’t needed to charge it, but I can’t remember the last time I charged the multigroom, so time will tell how the battery on the beard trimmer. I wish it had a foil head attachment like the multigroom, as I usually don’t keep a beard anymore, and hate shaving with a razor since I’ve got sensitive skin. The hair catch accessory is really nice for catching the bulk of shavings, though I do take it off for final touch ups.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer 5000 is basically the superhero of beard trimmers. The adjustable settings make it super easy to keep my beard looking sharp without much effort, and the battery life is long enough that I sometimes forget where I left the charger. The blades cut clean, the grip feels solid, and the precision dial makes me feel like I’m fine-tuning a sports car, not just trimming my face. Now, why only 4 stars instead of 5? Simple: if this thing actually caught ALL the little hairs, my wife wouldn’t yell at me about beard trimmings on the sink. Until then, it’s staying at 4 stars—because happy wife, happy life.

One issue being that I needed to supply a usb to socket adaptor. Not an issue but felt like it could have been included. Charging was simple and quick so tried my first shave with the clipping catcher attached. It took a bit to get the setting for the height to what I wanted but I loved the fact I did not have to swap heads just turn a dial. First shave I was disappointed it felt rough and not like its normal smooth shave. I tried my normal shaver and it gave a light trim and all normal. Second time trying I removed the clipping catcher and suddenly I got my normal smooth shave.

The ability to change the length you want cut with the simple twist of the dial allows me to quickly change the length without having to spend much time fiddling around with different guards. The ability to have the cut hair be caught in a compartment on the device is a great time saver for clean-up, as I simply have to empty the piece instead of wiping down the sink. The charger is quick and modern, which adds to the modern aspect of the whole product. I would 100% recommend the item.
