Rated 3 out of 5 by from Circular shaped better that angular shaped head Compact shaver with circular shaving head. The handle is very comfortable. As this is series 5000, this shaver has a noticeable less power compared to series 9000. The compact size, this shaver is great for traveling. I hope Philips will extend the Series X line to include a 9000 model with a circular shaving head. Many people, myself included, believe that the new angular shaped heads are inferior and make it difficult to shave around the nose.

I shave faster with this hands able to use it in the morning before work. It’s great for use on a weekly basis and clean the rest with a shaving blade. It is very easy to use with just at the touch of a button. It comes with a charging cord (no USB adapter included) and charges very quickly for several uses. It is very easy to clean - it is fully waterproof so just run the whole thing under water, as needed. The shaving head can be opened at the hinge to replace the 3 shaving razors. One of the most powerful shavers I have used!

I love that I can take the shaver into the shower since it is washable and made to withstand the water. When I'm done shaving I just touch the button to open it up and I rinse it out in the shower so I have no mess on my sink. I can use it about four times before I need to recharge it. I could just plug it in if I needed it right away. It gives me a nice close shave without tugging or pulling my whiskers. When I need to trim my sideburns I just put the trimmer attachment on. This is a really nice, high quality shaver with great power. The best shaver I have owned so far.

I have tried both wet and dry shaves with it and both fantastic. Even after not shaving for a week it still gives a close shave as good as a razor. It's very east to clean just a couple of mins and it's back to new again. Would I recommend it? Most definitely. Would I buy another? I already have for my dad and he loves it. It will easily go 5 -10 shaves on a full charge and charges in about 2 hours.

The three head shaver is excellent, it feels so smooth and nevers hangs up on longer hairs. But the best part is that you can pop the shaver head off and switch to the straight shaver/trimmer! It takes 2 seconds to switch heads, and this means that if you end up breaking a head you can just replace it. You do need to remember to charge it before you want to use it because it won't run while it is plugged in. But the battery lasted me more than two full shaves without needing a charge so It's not a huge deal if you forget. It feels great it my hands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used an electric razor because I remember my Dad having one and never using it because it pulled hair and just wasn't a very good shave, but I'm getting tired of the rising cost of blades, shaving cream, and aftershave so figured I would give this a try. Right out of the box I was impressed with the sleek design and packaging. It took a couple hours to fully charge. I only shave every 3rd day and after 2 weeks I'm still on the first charge. It doesn't pull and gives a nice shave although not as close as a razor. Its great for travel or a quick shave after the gym.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fine for an electric shaver. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shaves well enough, like a good quality blade after 3 uses. Comfortable, no cuts or rashes. I bought this because good blades have gotten expensive, and the cheap ones are dicey. Trimmer is pretty useless, more like a marketing addition so they can say “we have one”. So I still have to use a blade for sideburns. I’ve read comments about the motor speed being too slow than other shavers. I don’t know what shavers they’re referring to, but considering that the diameter of the shaving head is larger than my earlier Norelco, the blade can move as fast with a slower motor. And it seems to have enough torque to do its job.

The cutting heads give a really close shave leaving your skin feeling smooth. I like the new design that allows you to stand the shaver up on the bathroom shelf or cabinet. It has a long battery life and a short recharging time. The overall design makes it easy to clean. A great product.
