Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light easy to use painless. Bought on 12 Dec and followed instructions in booklet. I shave the hair on my chin as instructed before using machines but find I’m having to shave every 3rd day so use machine probably e times a week. I know it takes awhile to focus on each follicle to destroy hairs but the ones coming through all the time seem to be some hairs and very strong. I use this machine just for chin area and hope it works otherwise an expensive item. I don’t whether 3 times a week will help I don’t want to shave hairs and use machine only two weeks at a time as they grow long. Advice welcome please. I may have to return item reluctantly if no progress next few weeks.

I have tried a variety of hair removal products and none have ever worked as I have thick corse hair. I’ve used the lumea for 4 weeks now and I am blown away with the results. Previously I’ve had to shave daily which has always been very time consuming but with the lumea I’ve not had to touch a razor for days and my skin is much smoother than it’s ever been. I also suffer from darker hair around my upper lip and I had such a boost of confidence now it’s gone and no more pain or redness from waxing. I can’t rate this product enough and will continue to use it as recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product and great results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips lumea advanced is a great, easy to use product. At first it was hard to see any results but after being consistent after about 6-8 weeks the results became more obvious, I had less hair growth and slower hair growth. You have to remember to use this on time otherwise it may affect the process but you can just set a reminder on your phone or even better download the lumea app. The only issue I have is that the light only covered a small area which is perfect for face and under arms and bikini but for legs it does take a little longer trying to not miss any. Other than that great product love using it and would reccomend

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy little tool I was given this as a gift as my boyfriend was tired of me complaining that I wanted one. It's super easy to use, plug it in and go. It doesn't hurt but sometimes you do get a sensitive area and you can feel a little snap on the skin bit that is only happens occasionally. The only disadvantage is it's hard to see where you have been and will occasionally get bits of hair where I've missed a treatment.

Although my model (SC1999/00) is not cordless I still find it very easy to use. I would say the time length of sessions are longer than the times indicated online/in the instruction leaflet - however, this does not bother me! I ensure I make the time for this amazing product! I have only completed 3 sessions so far (you should see almost no hair after 4/5 sessions) and I have already noticed greatly reduced hair everywhere - on my legs, bikini line, stomach, armpits, arms and upper lip! It is quite an expensive product, but I could not recommend it enough! Since my purchase, my mum and sister have also bought a Phillips Lumea!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for slowing down hair growth [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been testing this product for a few weeks now, i used it 3 days in a row and then i used it once per week over a 6 week period. I have seen a difference in the hair growth. Hair grows back much slower. I have fast hair growing and i have noticed a difference. I used on leg, chin and bikini areas. I followed the instructions, shave first and set the dial up to 4 or 5 as my hair is quite dark. You do get a shock on 5 as it feels a little hot, but i persevered. I would recommend this product.

I love the safety feature where the laser can only be used when it's in full contact with the skin, the fact that the app is great, the settings are super easy to navigate. I would highly recommend. The only thing I have found, but not sure how it could be solved, is when I use it on my legs, I don't know where I've already lasered plus it's easy to stray from the straight line youre trying to keep to. Other than that a really great product in my opinion

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very surprised Having purchased another brands machine in the past and it being rubbish I was nervous about spending so much on another handset. But I’m very pleased so far. I’ve completed the four sessions two weeks apart, I did an extra treatment two weeks later as I wasn’t quite ready to go to four weeks. There are a few patches of hair which I have missed but otherwise my legs are smooth! Less progress on my armpits and bikini line but I’m still hopeful. I will do Atleast another extra treatment on those areas as most of the hair there is growing back. The way I see it is, some people undergo training to do these sorts of treatments and I’m a complete novice, so it will take time to get better at it. So far, so good and very happy.
