Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart little camera [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a smart little camera! It has a nice big touchscreen with really good picture quality. The menus are easy to navigate and it’s quite straightforward to set up. I was a bit dubious about whether the magnet fixing on the mount would be strong enough but I’m pleased to say I’ve had no problems with it. It even comes with a little tool to help put the wires under your trims so it’s neat and hidden. One thing to be aware of is that it doesn’t come with a memory card (not even a small one to try it out!) so make sure you have/get one before use.

The instruction manual is easy to understand and quick to install. I feel very safe having this great kit in my car especially with the SOS feature that is calling if I am unable. The app on my phone gives clear live footage with is very helpful. The vibrations are reduced by digital image stabilisation so the image quality is very clear and crucial details are easy to read. I am extremely happy with my new dash cam and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great image quality [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The major standout thing for me with this dashcam is the image quality, the high definition is ultra clear even when the weather isn't great it remains ultra clear and glare free. It is very easy to install and setup you just need an sd card as one isn't supplied. It has a brilliant super slow mo setting on playback which would be extremely handy to get a license plate if needed. The alexa link via the nextbase connect app is also a handy piece of kit to have as it will take pictures upon voice request. Although not used the breakdown service it can pinpoint your vehicle if in a remote area so again very handy. Overall very impressed with this kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dash Cam [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this camera for the piece of mind to record any issues that might occur on the road and I've really been happy with it since installing a couple weeks ago. Installing the camera and its software was really easy (not including interior panel removal) and the app for the phone allows for smooth setup. The camera image quality is excellent with its resolution and image stabilization feature. The polarized filter seems to help for glare or reflection off of the dash. I have not used the Alexa feature yet but am looking forward to the added capability. The SOS feature and GPS locating on top of the image quality make this camera a powerhouse that anyone needing a dash cam should consider.

Feeling safe on a roads [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Camera has 4k video quality at 30phs, super slow motion at 1080P and 120pfs and enhanced night vision settings to capture critical details on dark highways or foggy streets. A 3" touchscreen on the back let's you wiew and control camera and a microphone will record audio in a car. The dash camera will automatically save any footage then the crash or a bump is detected. Also you can choose your recording camera has Alexa buid so the ones who have Alexa at home will know how to communicate with it. I didint find my self using it since the camera turns on and off automatically. Installation is straightforward if you’re using the bundled cable that plugs into a 12V socket somewhere on your dashboard or centre console.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good specifications but poor performance After researching dashcam reviews purchased Nextbase 622GW along with rear window camera & were hardwired into my vehicle using the NB wiring kit to enable the Park mode feature when the car is unattended. An expensive high spec system to purchase & have installed. After initial setup operated well using Sandisk High Endurance 256 gb sdxc cards for about 6 months. Found the Nextbase Connect software disappointingly finicky & clumsy for saving & viewing camera files & later for firmware updates. The Live View option never seem to work. Around 6 months some episodes where camera did not start as usual when starting the car but changing &/or reformatting the cards & restarting camera manually usually worked. Did not realise that were likely early signs of battery failure. Then just out of warranty the camera battery failed completely. Would not operate at all in car with rear camera connected & battery would not charge at all when connected using the usb port to an external charger. Disappointed to find no local Australian NB product support or service agents with only support via website to Nextbase UK. After a series of frustrating email exchanges & delayed replies a replacement 622gw was agreed & received. A less than smooth repeat setup with replacement a firmware update & difficulties with the rear camera operation and eventually the dashcam system appears to be operating again. My expectations for continuing trouble-free operation are however now low. Despite good reviews many customers appear to have similar unsatisfactory experiences with the Nextbase 622GW particularly with battery failures. For an expensive dashcam with leading product specifications and features actual performance and reliability are very disppointing. Battery life issues, erratic connectivity and poor supporting software and the lack of local Australian product support and servicing all need Nextbase attention.

It was easy to install and the picture quality is very clear. I leave it plugged in so it starts and stops when the car is on or off and there is a feature to record while parked. I have had a couple of times where it freezes, but it comes back.

It has superb image quality (the 4k video is great), the 120fps feature is brilliant and in poor weather it still has a great image. The app alongside it is also good as is the UI in the camera. The interface is intuitive and overall, I really like this dashcam.

Can you move this between vehicles. ie I work away a lot and am in rental cars - can i take it with me and put it in my rental??

Hi Kirky, this can definitely be moved inbetween vehicles. This has magnets connected to the mount, plus two other options either suction for the attaching this to the screen or adhesive for the mount to stick to the window. Hope this helps!

do these come with internal storage? or do you need to purchase a SD card as well as the unit itself?

Thanks for a great question Timmothy. Yes, you will need an SD card in this unit. Nextbase advise the use of a Nextbase branded U3 Class SD card of 128GB size. These cards been built and tested specifically for use with their Dash Cams and can record up to 16 hours of footage. Hope this helps!
