Launched in November 2025, the Harvey Norman Heartland Female Athlete programme is a groundbreaking initiative created by Harvey Norman and the One New Zealand Warriors to support the next generation of female athletes across Aotearoa.

This programme provides aspiring sportswomen, aged 15-18, the opportunity to experience high-performance environments and to develop the skills, confidence, and leadership qualities to excel on and off the field. Participants receive guidance in mental wellbeing, nutrition, strength and skills development, athlete management, and more. Plus, coaching and mentoring from Warriors NRLW head coach Ron Griffiths, senior players, and a range of special guests.

Camps are held nationwide, with limited places available to ensure meaningful development for each athlete. As the programme continues to expand, it is reaching more communities across New Zealand and helping foster capable, confident young women who may one day progress through the Warriors' female pathways or become leaders in their wider communities.

The Heartland programme represents a significant step in advancing opportunities for women in sport and Harvey Norman is proud to help drive this initiative for future female athletes.
