Good value unit that is compact in design

Slick little package

Was a little disappointed it wasn't a full 3D player too but I guess it does enough for the price. Very annoying remote control. Very simple connection with 1 HDMI out.

Does it have ports to attach speakers?
Great question Alistair! You won't be able to connect to speakers directly. Instead this can be connected to an amplifier or audio receiver via HDMI connection, which can then be used to distribute audio through the speaker network. Trust this helps! ^CO

Does it play dvds from any country
Thanks for your question. This is not a multi-zone or multi-region device and will not be able to recognise media from outside the NZ region. This is region locked to Region B (Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand) for Blu-Ray, and Region 4 for DVD-Videos, and can be unlocked through an authorised Panasonic Service Centre. Thanks for your question Colleen. Yes, the Denon AVR-X540BT uses HDMI connections which can be used to pair and broadcast audio through the speaker network. If you wish to watch a movie, you would also connect an HDMI to the ARC out port on the receiver and connect to the ARC port on the TV. ^CO

Hi, What is the image signal of this player? my TV says it is only use the following:480i,480p,576i,576p,720p, 1080i & 1080p. I need to know if this player will work before I purchase and can't find this info anywhere. Thanks
Thanks for a great question Alison! It supports 4K upscaling for compatible TVs and 4K Blu-Ray content, however, it will display at 1080i/p based on the TV's maximum display quality and resolution, unless the content is lower quality, like 720p. Hope this helps! ^CO
