Disappointed from
Poor design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this player week and was underwhelmed. The first thing I noticed was a remote that looked like it belonged in the 80's. The worst first impression. Then I tested it playing a movie. I needed to stop it a couple of times during the movie and the vocals got out of sync. And the important remote buttons are so small you have to turn the light on to operate it. Panasonic have obviously fired any industrial designer. Have a look at Samsung's. Modern with the keys larger and layed out better. Even Samsung's player looked modern. So poor from Panasonic.

A game-changing player
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been an avid collector of films and this product is perfect for me. I have been looking for a 4K player for a long time and this one really is the best one I could find on the market. The device is very easy to use with versatile features such as being region-free, and including streaming apps built-in. It was also very good value, and I have been eyeing this particular model for quite some time. It fits perfectly in my shelf and is already a very sleek addition to the room. I will definitely be playing my fair-share of discs on this!

Brought My Childhood Back to Life!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t been this excited in a long time! Getting this Panasonic DVD player brought back a wave of nostalgia I didn’t even realise I’d been missing. I was finally able to watch one of my favorite childhood series again which brought great comfort. The feeling of reliving those moments, now with the ability to share them with my family and friends, is something I’ll truly cherish.
The setup was easy, the picture quality is great for DVDs, and it feels like having a little time machine sitting in my living room. Thank you, Panasonic, for making something that brings real joy.

Panasonic DP-UB450 - A love letter to my eyeballs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Panasonic DP-450 thinking, "Cool, maybe my movies will look a bit better." What I didn't expect was to be emotionally reconected to every blu-ray I own. The Matrix? I felt the leather trench coats. Planet Earth? I swear David Attenborough was narrating from under the couch. This thing just doesn't play 4K discs - it worships them. Dual HDR support (Dolby Vision and HDR10+) means I finally understand what black actually looks like. Even my snacks taste better during movie night.
My only complaint? It's ruined streaming for me. Netflix feels like I'm watching through a sock now.
10/10 - would recommend to anyone with eyes and a pulse.

Excellent 4k player - Well worth the purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased a few days ago. Overall it is an excellent player, I haven't had a chance to watch and 4k discs on it yet, but it plays blu-rays with no problems and upscales DVDs to similar quality really well. Loading speed is also really good and the device doesn't take up much room. The only real negatives I've noticed are the lack of any buttons other than power and eject (No play, pause or stop buttons on the device), the lack of wifi compatibility (requiring firmware updates be performed via USB download or ethernet connection) and the fact that no compatible HDMI cable was included necessitating another trip to the electronics store (According to the instructions this is only the case for Australia/New Zealand)

All I need!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my UB450 for a couple of months and it's probably one of the best tech purchases I've made. 4K performance is outstanding and the upscaling capability has made me change me mind about giving away my DVDs. I love the dual HDMI output and my movies sound so much better now. The remote could be better and I know the UB820 is a step up in build quality, but at this price point the 450 is an absolute steal. If you've been streaming '4K' (newsflash - you haven't), now's the time to pick up a player and see what physical media can do. Even if you have a 4K-capable games console you'll notice the difference with a dedicated player. You'd be crazy not to!

Pansonic budget 4K joy with Dolby Vision
I had a Pansonic UB 150 and because it has proved a work house wanted to upgrade to the UB 450 as I wanted the additional option to be able to watch films with Dolby Vision. This has not disappointed. It has a few extra tweaks to the 150 with two HDMI ports which can be split to vision and Sound. Its a matter of preference and personal taste but at least the option is there. It might get a little warm on longer films but so far it has proven a worthy upgrade for those who cant afford and upgrade to say the GN 820 or 9000. For the price Panasonic prove they are the best.

!!!UB450 for the WIN!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So you think streaming 4k and atmos is awesome? Think again! Without a dedicated 4k player you're missing out on your tvs true potential!
The player hasn't missed a beat and I highly recommend getting the 450 over the 150 just because dolby vision!
The connection is great, has a cool feature where you can send video straight to the tv and a dedicated hdmi out just for audio to an audio receiver.
The only downside is that normal blu ray and dvds are region locked.
But dont let that distract you from a great product!
