High End Quality at an Affordable Price
This is my first pair of Klipsch speakers and I'm exceptionally pleased! For this price range, I do not think I could have found a better pair of reference speakers. On their own, without a subwoofer, they sound fantastic with a rich bass tone and clear high ends. Add a well-positioned subwoofer, and it's a concert in your living room. I use mine with a nice vintage Pioneer receiver from the late 1970s and a high end modern turntable. The results are beautiful - exactly the sound I was hoping to achieve. I am an audiophile and enjoy all styles of music - in particular progressive rock and progressive pop (think Steven Wilson / Porcupine Tree). The sound is amazing coming from these speakers. And they look fantastic! Highly recommended for anyone looking for high end speakers in this price range.

Wow! Klipsch engineers hit a home run!
After reading a few reviews of these speakers on the internet, I must say these speakers exceeded my expectations and then some. I had purchased several different speakers before these including the KEF Q150, Martin Logan Motion 15i, Paradigm 200B, and JBL L52. The Klipsch were less expensive than all of the previous ones but I preferred their sound over all of them. Extremely linear in their response. The Klipsch engineers hit this one out of the park!

First Impression
I just got mine today and I already love them! Paired with Yamaha A-S201 amp and Fiio K13 as DAC/preamp. The sound is super crisp, large with wonderful separation and imaging. Music is live and full with plenty of bass (if you need more you can add more using Yamaha tunning), watching movies on them is like the movie is alive (that's the most accurate way I can describe it) .
I became Klipsch fan immediately and for sure will have more of their speakers in the future.

The Little Speaker That Could!!
These R-50M speakers are fantastic in my bedroom. I don't know how they would sound in a larger room, like a living room, but they are more than satisfactory for listening to music to go to sleep with!! I've actually cranked them up a few times with my Marantz 2252b and the sound was crystal clear. The price is very reasonable, too, for bookshelf speakers. By the way, I have Cornwalls in my living room, so there will not be a challenge!! These are perfect for single room sound.

WASTE OF MONEY FOUR AND FIVE INCH WOOFERS...
PLEASE STOP MAKING 4-IN AND 5-IN SPEAKERS ONLY MAKE 6-IN BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS THERE IS LITERALLY NO DIFFERENCE IN PRICE AND YOU'RE LOSING SO MUCH PERFORMANCE ANYBODY THAT WANTS A FOUR OR FIVE INCH SPEAKER SHOULD JUST HAVE A SOUND BAR THERE'S LITERALLY NO REASON TO EVER HAVE LESS THAN A 6-IN BOOKSHELF SPEAKER THEY REALLY SHOULD BE SIX AND EIGHT INCH BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS NOT FOUR AND FIVE JUST ABSOLUTELY DEPRESSING BECAUSE THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE IN PRICE AT ALL FOR THE ACTUAL COMPONENTS JUST THE BOX HAS TO BE A LITTLE BIGGER BUT THERE'S LITERALLY NO REASON TO EVER GO UNDER A 6 INCH SPEAKER YOU LOSE SO MUCH PERFORMANCE NOT ONLY THAT BUT IF YOU TURN IT UP TOO LOUD YOU CAN BLOW A FOUR AND A 5-IN SPEAKER...

Klipsch sound great
Pleasantly surprised with the sound from such a small box. Base is full and crisp. Mids and highs are smooth. Replaced a pair of vintage KLH model 6 that were sounding tired. Very happy for use in my exercise room.
