Fantastic sound and easy set up no issues like others have claimed and the lack of wall mounting option is not an issue for me, handles my war movies video games StarWars and StarTrek perfectly I was using an LG S60T but I gave that too my mom "she's hard of hearing and uses hearing aids" she loves it so I use her LG S40T and honestly it's the best 2.1 soundbar I've ever used you will hear audio cues in video games VFX in movies and subtle sounds in Sci fi shows and films you never knew were there.. and it packs enough punch for music too! Sound is so clear and has excellent right and left speaker sound separation highly recommend these products!

It has great quality, brilliant value and fantastic sounds. I love the fact you can change the sound effect to what you are watching, currently watching Wimbledon in the sport sound and it feels like you’re actually there. I connected it all through Bluetooth. I played music through it earlier and love the acoustics of it. The design is sleek and stylish and fits really well with our LG television. I have never had a soundbar but my son has and he is very jealous of ours now. I would definitely recommend this item, very impressed and great value for money.

The LG soundbar is easy to use and connected via HDMI or Optical cable, it has Bluetooth functionality where i can connect it to my Spotify and play music with ease. The Bluetooth doesnt connect to my phone automatically, i have to go into my bluetooth settings and connect manually, but overall that's just an inconvenience not a deal breaker.

It took us a little longer to get it set up, but we are particular with how things are placed and look. We did have to order a new mount for the sound bar, but that is because this set is much sleeker than what we had prior. After getting it set up and customizing the settings, we were able to find the ultimate sound for our living room. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable upgrade for their family room and family movie night.

Does the sound bar mount to the TV.

The S40T LG Soundbar for TV with Dolby Audio™ 2.1 channel, does not come with a special bracket that allows you to mount it directly on an LG TV, nor do we have a compatible bracket for it that allows you to mount it directly on our TVs...^Ivan.

Does the subwoofer turns off after a while or do I have to disconnect it everytime?

It will automatically enter standby mode after a period of inactivity, so you do not need to disconnect it each time. What brackets are compatible to mount the soundbar under my LG tv?

Regrettably, the S40TR LG Home Theater Soundbar with Dolby® and Rear Speakers, 4.1. channel, does not have provision for attaching wall brackets to it, and LG does not make any brackets for it. You can check retailers like Best Buy or online sites like Amazon for wall-mounted shelving brackets that you might be able to use with the soundbar...^Ivan.

Can I adjust volume on the woofer?

What mounting brackets are compatible with the rear speakers to mount them on a wall?  Also, is there a certain height that is optimal to mount the speakers at?

Hey there. The LG soundbar S40TR rear speakers don’t come with dedicated LG-branded wall mounts, but they’re compatible with universal brackets that support keyhole or threaded inserts. For optimal sound, mount them 2 to 3 feet above ear level and angle them slightly toward your main seating area. Avoid placing them too high or too far apart—balance is key.
