A step above the monitor's speakers
I won't bury the lede: I returned this speaker. The price seemed too good to be what I expected and while the price was good, the quality was just a step above the TV's output. No rich tones, no discernible separation of treble and bass and generally...meh. And while it's not a very sophisticated want, I like seeing the volume level on some sort of readout so I can return to that level if the sound output goes nuts, which it does these days. The hunt for a good speaker goes on.

I would definitely buy this again!
I had some other brand name soundbar. Once I connected the Ray, the clarity of the sound was so much better than the other "high-end" soundbar I had.

Way too narrow sound stage.
It has way too narrow sound stage and it sounds more like single mono speaker, worse that built in TV stereo speakers. If that would be possible it could be great center speaker but other than that it is ... It is definitely not improving TV sound. In fact Simfonisk speaker sounds much better on its own than this... and pair costs less than this soundbar.

Incredible sound from my TV
The Ray along with two One SL speakers made my TV sound so much better. Crystal clear sound with surround sound. My only complaint is it was very difficult to set up. Clear instructions on how to set up a surround system was hard to find. Had to call customer support to get it straighten out. Also my older S1 SONOS equipment is not compatible with the S2 system which caused a lot problems. So now I have to have two APPs, one for the S1 speakers and another for the S2 speakers.

Good value for money
Bought a new Samsung 8K smart TV but the sound vibrated particularly base. The Ray sound bar fixed the problem and now sounds great. The only problem I had was setting the Samsung remote so it could control the Sonos sound bar. The manual and online help didn't work. However I rang Sonos and they were able to advise a "workaround" which worked ok. I was told at sales that the Sonos is compatible with new Samsung TVs but that is not quite true but with help you get sort it out.

I was pleasantly surprised at the difference
i bought this as a soundbar for my television as I was finding it increasingly difficult to hear dialogue and voiced commentary from my Sony TV. I could increase the volume but not the clarity. It took a little while for me to complete the set up of the Ray but , once installed , there was a notable improvement of clarity and it was linked to my original BT box hand controller so very simple to use. The only problem was a slight vibration with some bass sounds. I then discovered the room set up in the Sonos app - it took about five minutes of wandering around the TV room with my Iphone and BINGO the vibration disappeared and the clarity was again improved. I am sure that there is plenty more that the RAY will do that I will discover as I go along but it has already proved to be a worthwhile investment for me.
