Great sound
I bought this soundbar to match a Sony tv, and it has certainly improved the sound quality. It is also an improvement on the myriad of wires of the old home theatre system. However, to me it begs a bass speaker for ideal sound quality. The setup is helped by matching Sony to Sony, but not helped by the lack of instructions either written or online. There's no control panel either - just three lights and no explanation. Setting up soundbar to phone via the app was not very intuitive when, for some unknown reason, it took several hours to finally connect. However, after some perseverance, the soundbar, tv and a DVD player are playing nicely with each other, and I am now happy with the outcome.

HDMI ONLY? !!
Great sound but having only HDMI inputs has made it virtually impossible to play my music from another AV device through this system. HDMI protocols keep preventing the signals. Sony support has been nonexistent, I've sent two emails with no response and I've given up. Why would a flagship soundbar not have at least one non-HDMI input??

I'm really happy with the Bravia Theatre Bar 9 – the sound is clear and full, making everything I watch sound better. The quality is excellent, and it works great, making my TV experience much more enjoyable.

Very good sound
Using Sony TV together with this bar using a single remote is very easy use, setup using mobile app isn’t best as it need to create an account with Sony. Sound is good, without a subwoofer still give you good bass.

Decent Soundbar
This is a very good soundbar when paired with a bravia TV. if not, then would recommend other bars. the acoustic sync is very good, feels like a cinema. you should be aware the acoustic sync works with a cable between both TV and bar, it is not wireless.
