Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good At first I was worried it was too cheap and basic. After dialling in the settings to my liking, it sounds great. I use it as PC speakers. I recommend turning off the "bass extension", as it's too boomy with it on. I like how it doesn't force you to download any apps or "activate" it online. There is zero dependency with the internet. It even lets you completely disable bluetooth, which I've done. I use it with analog line-in via audio jack only, coming from my PC's audio out. I listen to electronic music, and prefer subtle but tight bass. This speaker delivers, as the sub bass can be toned down to output just a hint of sub bass warmth for excellent low volume listening. This is where cheap subs perform best - when used with restraint. I also leave it in the "game" listening mode, which adds a bit of space to the mids and highs for an overall clear and detailed sound. One star off because when analog input source is used, it doesn't automatically switch to standby after 20 minutes of no audio. So I need to manually press standby button on remote when I shut down PC. This isn't an issue if you use bluetooth source.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing sound Disappointing sound considering this is Yamaha and almost $800. The sub is fine but the sound bar sounds boxed in - maybe because of its small size? It lacks clarity in the highs (I did try different settings) and there is no way to do a manual EQ to try and correct this. I find myself not looking forward to listening to music on this system which is a shame.

Great question John! The subwoofer measures 33.5W x 16H x 36.4D cm and weighs 5.7kg, while the centre unit measures 60W x 6.4H x 9.4D cm and weighs 1.3kg. Trust this helps! ^CO
