I was so excited to receive the delivery, as I have hearing problems and can't turn up the sound in my apartment after 10 pm, the headphones that I had did nothing for me so when I purchased these I was anxious to try them asap but waited for the battery to charge. I had no problems with connecting them, with my new TV Sony Bravia 4k UR3 which had the optical plug-in which in return allows other people to still hear the sound while I hear mine through the Sennheiser RS 175 Headphones. WOW how good are these they are the best. I really hear every sound and I don't miss a sound while watching anything from a Movie to a Song and the games of course. So thank you for making these you have let me hear like a normal person. Absolutely so delighted with your product and my purchase.

Hmm, well. I don't know yet. Other than the instructions don't match the product.
I started messing with the 175's tonight after they came yesterday. Which I was stoked about! I've read some, and heard about the quality! I started out with the connection and installing the batteries. Unfortunately, the instructions don't match the product. I'm not a good direction guy, but what guy is, but the press and hold to power the unit isn't a press and hold at all. Only LED. After pressing it like I was putting my thumb through it. I figured it was stuck in; button compressed or something. After noticing the headphones have a power button on them which in turn lights the LED on the unit. 🙄😂 that's as far as I got tonight. Haha. Been a long day. More tomorrow! 😄

Foam pads, disintegrating.
I have had a pair of these for over 4 years.The sound quality is exeptional. However. I am disgusted with Sennheiser for the awful quality of the pads. The material disintegrates FAR too easily for a product of such reverence. There are many other makes out there, who provide much better quality to these items, which are as important as the audio, comfort is a major issue here. Guys, you can do so much better. Therefore, I can only award two stars. Oh and the replacements are too overpriced !

Awesome Buy
Awesome sound,clarity and base. The volume can be adjusted to Super loud as well.
Very comfortable to wear with easy controls.
I bought 2x sets of these for separate rooms and they do not interfere with each other.
If you want to watch the same tv simply turn off the heaphones and place in the cradle for 10 seconds and then remove and turn on to pair them to the same tv transmitter.
Couldn't be any happier with my purchase.
Dont settle for a lower quality heaphone. Spend the cash and you will be very impressed.

Comfy, great sound, and Instant Mute!
Nothing beats Sennheiser for audio excellence, we all know that. The specifics that I appreciate with the RS 175: option of audio optical setup, this helps to leave my USBs available. Also, the 'Instant Mute' feature is wonderful. While listening to something on my PC, sometimes I am in another room working on a project when a loud commercial jumps up! Loud! The Instant Mute saves my ears every time. Thanks. The range is very good, too. Very happy with this Sennheiser set.

Great sound quality & range
It took 4 attempts to find headphones that would work independently of the sound bar on my Samsung TV.
Though I had to feed it thru a digital audio converter, the resultant sound & sound control are superb, especially the surround sound options.
