Featuring a 10A, 110-120V total loading capacity, the Vanco US/Canada/Japan Travel Plug Adapter is compatible with different items from Australia and New Zealand.

The travel plug adapter’s small design makes it ideal for on-the-go storage.

Note: Adaptor does not convert voltage or frequency. Be sure to check the voltage and frequency of the appliance you want to operate. If the voltage and frequency of the appliance are different from the foreign country’s electrical wall outlet voltage and frequency, an appropriate transformer may be required. Socket and voltage configurations can vary within a country. Be sure to check with your travel agent or appropriate travel authority to determine the electrical outlet configuration that is used in the country you will be visiting.

We aim to dispatch orders within 2 days. Delivery costs are calculated based on your location and the size of your order. Furniture may take up to 8 weeks to deliver as most products are made specifically for your order. Some Customer Direct products are shipped from overseas and may take longer to arrive. Some goods may take longer to deliver if a product is currently not in stock. If you feel your product has failed a Consumer Guarantee (as defined by New Zealand Consumer Law) then don't worry you can easily return it to your local Harvey Norman store. We'll even pay for the postage if you live in an area where there is no store. Our returns policy covers any purchased item ( conditions apply).

Does the 3rd, round prong retract to make it usable in Japan where only the 2 straight prongs are required?

Thanks for your question. The Vanco Outbound Travel Adaptor has a fixed third prong and doesn’t retract. It’s designed for grounded outlets, which are common in Japan, but may not fit older two-prong-only sockets.
