Protection for your valuable electronics devices.
Unlike Metal Oxide Varistors this product should give long term protection because it reacts fast enough to voltage spikes caused by lightening, and it absorbs and diverts the destructive energy without damaging or destroying itself like MOV 'protection' products. If the product price is too much for you, get a cheaper device, but don't assume it will protect your electronics devices. The best thing to do is pull the plugs from the mains sockets if a thunderstorm is approaching. Lightning high voltage surges can burn through switches when they are turned off. There is no such thing as perfect protection, but at this price the purchase is well worth it.
