Not happy Jan
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been quite underwhelmed by our experience in purchasing our FnP Ceramic cooktop.
It was installed by a less than enthusiastic tradesman .....who came.....took the old one out.....put the new one in place..... and (I quote) said “ DON’T ASK ME FOR ANY INSTRUCTIONS “ and left
We persevered and worked out how to operate .....however were quite taken aback when it“appeared” that the elements were faulty and discolouring So much so that I called F n P who sent a rep to check it out He told us that we should have purchased a proprietary surface protective coating of some sort and applied it before we used it

Very much enjoying my ceramic cook top from Fisher and Paykel, though I am still trying to work out the double elements 🤷♀️. I’m sure a read of the manual will help.
If I could change one thing. it would be to have a large element on the front, not the back where it slashes on the slash back. I’m wondering why the stove top was made this way, as I’ve not struck it before, I’m guessing there is a reason, though it is annoying, but not a first world problem.

Could be improved upon.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall it's OK. Looks great and works as expected however it's very hard to judge if the pot or pan is correctly placed on the element as you can't see the circle unless its glowing red. The other annoying thing is the large elements that you'd have a frying pan on are at the back where it's not so easy to be stirring or handling the ingredients. Back elements are better for things that don't need attention while cooking.

Mixed impressions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to control the four hotplates. We've had a couple of issues: 1. I don't understand why there needs to be any heat felt at all when using the slider that controls the heat levels on the hotplates. There is heat transmitted through the slider and it's not comfortable, and 2. the glass surface is very badly scratched after less than a year's use, despite our best efforts. These two issues seem like design faults.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely thrilled with my Fisher & Paykel 60cm Series 5 Electric Cooktop. It performs perfectly and has made cooking so much more enjoyable. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly fast it heats up – I'm saving so much time preparing meals because I'm not waiting around for pots and pans to get to temperature.
I especially love the flexibility of having 5 different sized elements. It's so convenient to have the perfect size for every pot, from a small saucepan to a large frying pan. The controls are intuitive and straightforward, making it incredibly easy to use right from the first go. The flat ceramic surface also looks sleek in my kitchen and is a breeze to clean. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient cooktop.

ENJOY COOKING WITH THE F & P TOUCH & SLIDE COOKTOP

Looks Great - cleaning tips?
Item looks great installed with a really slimline finish that compliments our cuisine very well. Have now used it multiple times with a quick heat up to full bung. On two occassions, the only problem has been with overflow, and on both occasions it was only water or stock, and did leave quite a patch to remove. Took a fair bit of elbow grease and Gumption to clean up to final reveal level again.

Great cooktop
No issues. Heats up fast. Easy to keep clean. Looks streamlined and minimal. Have had F&P induction cooktops before and after multiple issues with one of the induction cooktops we decided to give induction a miss. The slower difference in heat up time for electric as compared to induction is noticeable, but hoping electric will avoid the problems we've had in the past with induction.

We have purchased this cooktop, told by sales person cut out size is w x 555. D x 482....as our existing size is 557 x 486.....on reading a previous question ,I see the size is diff ...can this please be clarified ,as will make more decisions for us ...
