Good temperature control as well. Has a lock function which is handy as it is easy to bump the touch buttons when putting things down on it etc. Would recommend to others looking at this hob.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality- time waster purchased the 60cm glass hot plate It takes about 35 mins to clean even though nothing boils over any splash now matter how small and removed asap takes this long to remove completely I will have to buy a portable cook top as i dont have the time or patience to go through this twice a day what is it poor quality glass or .?????? my 21 yo Fisher & Paykel was sooo easy to wipe and clean.

Will this oven top fit w 580 H 52 D 510

Hi Alison, this cooktop will not fit your space. The Haier HCE604TB3 has an overall width of 590 mm, while your available width is 580 mm. It needs a cut-out width of 560–562 mm, but the total product width exceeds your space, so installation isn’t possible without modifying the opening.

Is there a rule / regulation about how close the cooktop can be to the splashback or cabinet to the side of the cooktop?

Great question Blair. Yes, NZ regulations require at least 200mm clearance from gas burners to non-fire-resistant surfaces, and 50mm from electric or induction cooktops to a splashback or side surface. Always follow the cooktop’s installation guide for exact spacing. Trust this helps! ^CO

Thanks for your question Gina. This is a Ceramic Cooktop. These contain coiled metal elements under the tempered ceramic glass which heats the surface and items on the surface.
