Happy to be back!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek as expected, heats very quickly as expected but the functions work much better than expected! So happy we bought it - I had previously owned an induction cooktop but changed it to the standard cooktop because it was hyper sensitive so I was a bit sceptical when we needed to replace the cooktop - I have been pleasantly surprised. It is touch sensitive but not that it switches itself off if you spill a drop of hot water on it. Actually quite intuitive to use. I like the locking feature. Good quality, as one expects from Haier

Poor performance, small heating area. Unusable.
Unfortunately this is the worst appliance we bought for our new build. The actual area that is heating the pan is very small. About a 100mm diameter circle. If you want to fry 4 eggs, you'll have cooked whites in the middle and clear raw egg whites on the outside! Its beyond frustrating. Forget about cooking things on a high heat, you just burn a small area in the middle while the rest of the pan gets luke warm heat. Have to pay for a new replacement product and get the sparky to retrofit into our new new kitchen.

Useless cooktop
Bought a while back. Useless. Can’t cook steaks or anything that needs high heat as heat up then stops for ages when hot before coming on again. Will only heat centre of pans. Can only use small pans. Had a better one previously and have cooked on several others with no problems. Please don’t buy this. Sales people need to tell customers what they are getting. Cost a lot to have installed. Dont buy.

Does the job. Has 9 power levels, from 9 down to 7 it appears to regulate the power, below that it just turns on and off with a 6 second period, so not suited to very careful simmering. To turn on an element quickly, you can use “boost”, otherwise you have to step it up from 0. Once in boost, you can’t step down, you have to press boost again, then step down. There’s no way to quickly turn off an element, you have to step it all the way down to 0.
The buttons are rather faintly labeled, the + and - especially are rather hard to see in dim light.
If you run an element at high power for a while, it appears to drop way down in power, barely simmering. You can move to another element if needed. Assuming this is circuit protection from overheating. It has a rather loud cooling fan, which will turn on even when using only one element at less than full power.
Overall, not bad for the price.

Waste of money
Had installed approximately 6 months ago and find it terrible. Continuous pulsing on and off at temp '6' and under. Very sensitive, pot/pan has to be on the exact correct spot or it continually turns on and off. No ability to gently simmer. Would not recommend. Shocking that Harvey Norman dont have staff that can explain all this BEFORE I purchased.

Inconsistent temperatures / struggles to maintain
I find Using "B" it will just turn off before I've finished browning meat. I then have to power off then back on to get it working again. Struggles to stay at top temperature, like it needs to reset and have a wee nap. Not sure if a fault or just what it does. My Previous induction didn't have this issue.

Happy with my new Induction cook top
Easy to install and works surprisingly quickly. Fast and very efficient. The only downside is you need to select the element each time you want to adjust the element. But getting used ti that now. Overall I’m really happy with this induction cook top and would recommend it.

Get what you pay for, a below average induction cooktop. Hard to simmer as power is on/off at lower temperatures. Difficult controls and hard to turn off boost. Have used other much better induction.
